Title: Plot Bunnies

Emmylou - May 16, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'm pretty well known on some Harry Potter sites for being the Queen of Plot Bunnies - one one site I posted well over two-thousand. Sometimes they are ideas, scenarios, or plans, others they are character ideas, etc.

Hopefully we'll get some more people on board soon who write so this thread might come in useful. Basically just dip in and pick something you like when you like. I'll just do one tonight.

1. Character ideas:

Jackie Bachman:

Aged 40
Long suffering wife of a loser (Pete, who never had a job for more than a week and lives off his father's hand-outs). She has two daughters and one son; 16 year old Wendy, 12 year old Becky, and a 19 year old Mickey.
She wants all the finer things in life - Jewellery, a nice house, regular money coming in, but she never gets them.

Elena Bustos

Aged 39
Married, no children.
Abused wife, has been living under her husband's iron rule for 20 years. She never had the family she dreamed of because of it, she never got educated, and she now works all hours in a shop to look after him.

Peter Kelly

Aged 37
Married to Lisa, no children.
FBI Agent - working his way up the FBI's ladder and he doesn't care who he steps on in the progress. He wants to work as a profiler (and maybe does briefly in the story) but more for his own gains than worries about the victim.

Hannah Gross

Aged 22
Father Robin, Mother Tina.
A ballet dancer, wants to work as one professionally. Her parents made her go to college though, but she dropped out and now works in an office trying to break into the dance world.

Bill Hume

Aged 57
Divorced, twenty year old son Tim.
FBI higher up - has a score to settle with Gideon. He only cares about results rather than morality and enforces some difficult new rules on the team and Garcia that make their jobs even harder.

Kirsty Harding

Aged 19
Mother Jill, father unknown.
Working as a cleaner for the FBI - see something she shouldn't on one of the agents desks.

Tricia "Tawnee" Pastor

Aged 18
Mother Carly, Step-Father Dave, Real Father deceased.
Abused, ran away form home, now working as a lap-dancer.

Adam Teasag

Aged 6
Mother deceased, Father Alan.
A witness to a horrific crime.

I'll start on some actual bunnies tomorrow.

Here are a few more:

2. A woman poses as a prostitute to murder the men who pick her up, at first the team suspects her abusive husband and her unstable brother.

3. One of the team is kicked out of their apartment and forced to temporarily say with another member. Will is be a case of the odd couple or will they find temptation in living together?

4. A UnSubpromises to strike on board a random flight going out of Chicago...it's a race against time for the team to find the flight and they begin to question the UunSub's real reasons for striking so openly when they know that they'll be arrested.

5. A newspaper does an in depth article about the team and to their horror they find their information splashed all over the papers. Things get worse when an UnSub begins targeting the group using the information in from the paper.

6. Ten years ago eighteen people were trapped in a lift together for three hours in the pitch black. When the lights came back on they were terrified to find that a man in the lift had been stabbed in the dark. The problem was that there was no way for the police to decide who killed them because it really could have been any of them - all of the people had stable backgrounds, none of them owned knives like the one found, they were all covered in the blood by the end of it, and none of them even knew the man who was killed. Now three people from that lift have been killed and the team realises that they have to track down the remaining fourteen and find the killer.

Thought of one or two more;

7 The Agents are called to the set of a Cult TV Show (think Buffy, Angel, The X-Files, Alias, etc) when they are alerted to the fact that six team members have been wounded in 'accidents' on set - two on them quite seriously). None of the actors have been harmed at all. When the Agents inestigate the find a fan so obsessed that he's grown to hate the idea of the show being made rather than real that he'll kill for it.

8 Write a short snippet for your favourite character chronicling the moment when they decided that they were going to join the FBI.

Oh, and as always, forgive me if they've done something similar or already made a bunny impossible/non-canon - I'm still behind.

GideonsGirlAnanke - May 22, 2006 11:37 PM (GMT)
Ooo...some of these sound SO good!

I'd take them, but then everything else would fall to the wayside...I have so many of my own that it's not funny!

9 Elle, Morgan, and Hotch argue over just who will be interveiwed for a crime tv show segment about how they caught their ast UnSub. But who will really get the spotlight?

J.J. - May 25, 2006 04:32 AM (GMT)
Wow! So many to choose from... I think I may find some inspiration... Although with the 'dance' challenge, I know I took a while... But that was because I was up to my eyeballs with the Elle story... Once I'm settled, I'll see about getting to work on one of your challenge... (it isn't really work, I enjoy it).

10. Who flys that FBI plane? Are they friends of the team? Do they watch the comings and goings and relationships?

11. How about one of the FBI Pilots (see above) being a killer themself?

12. JJ has a guardian angel who sends her notes reminding her how special she is - it's been that way for years. She always assumed it was something her brother did to cheer her up after her father's death - but after her brother moves out of the country she realises that it can't be him and she begins to wonder if this 'angel' has more sinister motives.

So many to choose from! I like the one about the person who flys the FBI plane, I think I may start on that tonight.....or maybe the J.J.one wil be fun......

13 Elle rather nealy avoided that "Who are you seeing?" question in A Real Rain didn't she? Why? Who?

14Winston churchill once said...

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject."

Could be for any Unsub really...

"A love for tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril."

During a battle reenactment, three men are really shot. Can the BAU profile a killer in a town where everybody knows everybody?

"When I am abroad, I always make it a rule never to criticize or attack the government of my own country. I make up for lost time when I come home."

Hotch has a serious disagreement with a currupt FBI Agent, but when the Agent has to join the BAU for a case and the only chance of actching the killer lies on the new agents hands, can Hotch remain silent?

lol, I've got a funny Valentine's day idea for CM. It can be male/male, female/female, or male/female. It should contain references to romance, but they can be as indirect as you like. the only hitch is that the couples you write MUST use candy heart sayings ONLY for their conversations. It be better if you tried to follow the lines of actual candy heart sayings, but if you have to, expand on your own.

I know, it's odd that I get a Valentine's bunny near Christmas and no Christmas bunny has appeared, but that's the way it works.

I really like number 5. Gonna see if i can manage to do something!

You rock! :D

Winged: That sounds like a great idea and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Have a Happy New Year. :)
