"We will learn a terrifying secret from Reid's childhood that explains why he's so attracted to serial killers. According to Matthew Gray Gubler: "I just read an episode that has an incredibly dark history for Reid. He had a terrible thing that happened in his childhood that comes out, causing delayed nightmares. It explains why he's so attracted to serial killers. The last page, I was like, it all makes sense. It's super dark...like cable-style dark. I'm sure the fans will hate it, and I'll love it." According to Gubler, the secrets of Reid's childhood are revealed in part because of a Beverly Hills, 90210 alum. "They're everywhere these days!" Gubler told me. "We have an episode where Luke Perry plays a psychotic polygamist cult leader. I'm always getting held hostage by teen idols—first James Van Der Beek was a guest star and held Reid hostage, and this time it's Luke Perry. I actually saw Scott Baio out front, and I swear he looked at me. I want George Michael to hold me hostage in season eight." And suffice to say, Perry's character sets off Reid's nightmares, which lead him back into his very scary past.- E!online

No, no, no. Please don't go there, writers. Reid's already been traumatized enough. It's someone else's turn. Wait, that came out wrong. I mean it's time to give the poor kid a break, give him some normalcy. Besides, Reid getting held hostage again? Not only is that ridiculous, it's also redundant. How exactly are they gonna make this time different? I could argue that he still hasn't fully dealt with the first kidnapping.

Well, Gubler may be right, "The fans will hate it." ;)

I'm with you, there have been so many Reid-centered episodes, we want something different.

I want Emily-centered episodes! Her character needs more depth, she needs to pushed to breaking point, broken down by something from her past or a case that revokes memories from her past. Prentiss needs to be shown as just as human as any other member on the BAU team.

I…don't know…I think it might be interesting (I love Reid…so I love Reid-centered stuff…uhm…but still give the poor kid a break…)

But I do want Emily centered episodes!

sunsetskies - September 2, 2008 02:50 PM (GMT)
Yeah I think that there have been a lot of Reid-centred episodes, I'm with you on some more Emily-centred episodes!

CriminalReid - September 3, 2008 12:39 AM (GMT)

BlackNight - September 3, 2008 08:51 AM (GMT)

but... is confermed this information?

Because, few weeks ago Ed Bernero said in one interview: NO ONE of the seven profiler will be die!

have he change his mind?

(this evening I will try this interview and will be post.)

"one of the core cast member really does die"

Or it's another actor, because "cast" includes "generally" all actors.

So, i think it's Haley who dies. Which would explain this : "character who delivers an emotional "goodbye" at the end!", Hotch who says goodbye to Haley.
Because, for me, if Kate Joyner dies, Hotch will not say a "emotional goodbye". Except if they were more than "friends".

that's right!

I forget this!

With this new information, I suppose there is not one of the seven profile the died person.

I think the emotion goodbye will be for scotland yard's agent

I am hoping for it. I can't believe that Ed would be to have any of the main characters killed. I believe it, the Criminal minds one of the series where the man can hate nobody. All characters have at least 10.000 fans (or may be, that even more).
I would not be moreover to imagine at Hotch better leader, and at Morgan better sexiest character in the series.

From Kirsten at E!online:

Gwen in Tacoma, Wash.: Kristin, would love some more Criminal Minds info!

We'll be flashing back to Morgan's (Shemar Moore) childhood and his experience of seeing his father killed before his eyes.

Hotch is left according to these????????????????????? I don't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still say the British agent gets killed.

Hey, so i got the new TV Guide with the returning favorites and it had Criminal Minds article:

Where we left off: Jareau (A.J. Cook) revealed her pregnancy--as well as th identity of the father, Detective LaMontagne (Josh Stewart)--to the team, and Morgan (Shemar Moore) learned he's up for a job in the FBI's New York City office. Oh, and one of the BAU members got totally blown up in his/her black SUV.
What's next: The cliff-hanger case is resolved, and the poor soul caught in the explosion suffers the medical fallout. "All of [the fans'] expectations are going to be met--it's scary and it's all action," says executive producer Ed Bernero. Jareau gives birth, takes maternity leave and in the process proves her importance to the squad. "I don't know that we've ever adequetly shown just how this stuff would fall apart if they didn't have J.J. in the middle of everything," Bernero says.
Who's in/who's out: Agent Jordan Todd (Day Break's Meta Golding) will briefly sub for Jareau during her leave. Somebody from last season will not survive Episode 1.
Stranger Danger: Season 4 guest creeps will include Jason Alexander as a serial killer with a God complex, Luke Perry as a cult leader, and Wil Wheaton as a "twisted unsub," according to Bernero.

Oh and they had a poll on TVGUIDE.COM asking Who got blown up in the SUV on Criminal Minds? 28% J.J./ 23% Hotchner/ 15% Rossi/ 15% Morgan/ 13% Prentiss/ 6% Reid

Now if one of the core seven dies i'm suspicious of Rossi cause Joe Mantegna is also going to be on The Starter Wife the series too so they may let him go. (i.e. DIE) That's just my thought of the explosion.
Peace Out B)

I think they were going somewhere in the season three finale when she had to shoot that guy who shot Cooper, but I don't think they're going to explore it. They might be missing a golden opportunity here. But then they're giving storylines to Reid (like he needs another), Morgan, Hotch, and JJ. So there isn't any room. Tres sad.

I really like the idea of the team realizing how lost they are without JJ, though. When does JJ give birth? They made it sound like it happens early on, but I doubt it'll be in the premiere; there's too much other stuff going on there. Is there gonna be an ep in between the birth and when this new lady comes in?

One day left!!!
