I know it could be shorthand for a state but unfortunately I'm from Ireland so I dont know any of the state initial things!! :D

I'm Canadian and so I feel very sad for being able to answer this, but I can. MO is the state abbreviation for Missouri, which, yes, is a US state.

btw : thank you, CM Addict, for giving me explained that this meant "MO".
I was lost because the only "MO" i know is Modus Operandi lol
