Title: Who In Your Family Makes You Smile?
Karla - May 30, 2008 02:44 PM (GMT)
I'm always reading about who in our family annoys us.
But, now I want to know who just makes your day?
For me, it's my youngest neice. Hard to believe she'll be in
high school next year.
What she said last week, just still makes me smile when I
think about it.
"My mom is making cookies for one of my classes tomorrow
for today." She thinks. Says "Wow. I just killed that line."
:D

I would say my cousin even though she lives far away....she always says something fun or funny...

My Spanish grandma! My spanish cousin, she's great! My aunt, also living in spain, my youngest cousin in spain…I kinda only am close with my family who don't live in the same country…
But I think all the younger cousins in the Netherlands are very cute too ;)

I'm going to have to add my Sister n Law for this one.
She reminds me a bit of Garcia. The way Garcia answers
the phone, her outgoing personality. My SIL always has
something nice to say about someone. Her sense of humor
is for 18 and older. :D I always say thank you to her for
saying "yes" to my brother.

My Uncle makes me laugh so much. And my brother, he has a nack for voices, and weird little sayings that crack me up! They both have such a corney sense of humour, my uncle the most. It's mostly because me and him have similar humour styles, and similar interests, so we can make each other hyper without doing anything.

It makes me a little sad to say this now, considering the circumstances, but I have to go with my Grandma. And most of the time, my mom, although she can get on my nerves. I don't know what it is about either of them exactly, other than they're just really loving people. :)
Good thread, btw.

 you're not the only one. I called my sister last night
to vent about our mom. lol I have to admit. My sister has
the most contagious laugh.
Thanks :)

other then my kitty, Cleo (I call her "My Precious" like Gollum in LoTR because she is) is my Dad because I rarely get to see him; it's been that way since my folks split in 1986 decade later divorcing in 1992.

no matter what mood i am in, no matter how angry i am, she calms me down and makes me giggle. i don't know what i would have done without her. she gets me through everything!

My mum, defentely...
She just comes out with the funniest one liners and always forgets that i'm her daughter and will start talking about the most innapropriate things with me!
But i think thats why we get along so well... we dont act like the usual mother daughter.. we're best friends! :D
Well that was all soppy....

My big sister, she always tries to be happy even though she has had lots of problems and by just smiling she makes me smile^^
That so sounded like a cheesy, heart- bleeding line from some cliche drama movie but I don´t giva a f*** 'cause it's true :D

My sister. She has a way of making me laugh when I'm feeling horrible and just generally making the day better.
Karla - November 3, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
My sis as well. I'll be meeting with her this Weds for dinner.
It's the only time I get to see her, unless we all have a family
dinner. Or, if I have a doctor's appt. She works at a UCDavis
here. No, she's not a nurse.

My best friend, but she's family.
Basically anything that comes out of her mouth can make you laugh.

Everybody. I am really close with all of them.
My mum, because she always knows the right words.
My brother, because he just gets all big brotherly.
My father, because he just makes me one of his special hot chocolates and because he has this reassuring, loving voice.
My twin sister, because she just understands me, she just looks at me and I have to smile.

i know i posted here already
but something my sister did made me cry i was so happy.
she had to write a thesis for college and her acknowledgments and dedication were the most beautiful things ever.
she wrote about me:
"to my sister niamh, who understands me more than anyone else in the world"
its so true, we understand each other more than anyone and i never realised how much she needs me until that.

My little cousins. They're 7, 3 and 4 month old twins. They're gorgeous and always make my day.
scylla - October 23, 2009 07:50 PM (GMT)
Today my little girl made me smile a big one.
i've been under the weather for a couple of days and hadn't slept well last night.
She told me:
"it's ok mommy i too sometimes sleep badly when daddy snore"s. "
That made my day.
She is almost four and you should have seen the look on daddy.

haha, that's brilliant!
My cousin loves exploring, especially when she's at my nans. Last time I was down there, I took her upstairs to investigate. She turns round and says she doesn't want to be up here because there was 'a goat'. Not sure whether she actually meant ghost, or if she was truely frightened about a goat, but it made me laugh! :D
