wenlong104 - May 11, 2008 03:41 AM (GMT)
i have been thinking....i think this show can last over 10 years  because writers needs to do is....just pick one of the psycholgical problem out of many mental problem...and put it in the show...

but how long do u think it will last? like x-files ? or jag?

do u want the show to last very long?

Eszty - May 11, 2008 11:43 AM (GMT)
I think that they made the actors sign on onto eight seasons.

Yes and i hope through time we can get some insight into the characters and their backgrounds too!

I think 10 years would be pushing it. I love this show, but....I think eight is a good number. Or maybe seven. Or however long they can go without jumping the shark. ;)

i dont think 10yrs is bad.....u know writers can pick diff psych problem in each shows......there are many psych problems out there.....so this show can run on forever.....haha

mlmaggiema - May 15, 2008 11:17 AM (GMT)
The more the better haha
and i think every case would interesting that is more important :P :P :P

Nardias - September 13, 2008 05:25 AM (GMT)
I would love the show to go on forever. But I reckon it'll get to the 7th or 8th season. wicked if it went on for 10yrs though.

Glampire28 - September 13, 2008 02:52 PM (GMT)
10 years does sound like a long time... I hope the actors can last that long... Unless they want to move on to bigger and better things.

Let's get through Season 4 at least and then see what happens. :)

Mabye will last at season 8 . . . I don't know xD

CriminalMind - September 14, 2008 03:45 PM (GMT)
I think CM has the potential to go on for a while, mainly because of the genre. Crime doesn't stop, and there's always horrific crime in the news for them to take ideas from, always something new for the profilers to profile.

Just look at Law and Order. It's on, what, it's 17th, 18th season? I think CM has the same potential that has, as long as the writing stays top-notch. Whereas, with Law and Order: SVU (which I love), the writers seem to have lost reality at times, and I can't see it lasting as long as the orginal. So, I guess with longevity, it comes down to the 'back-scene' guys, the writers, producers, etc etc.

Claire - September 15, 2008 12:07 PM (GMT)
I think it's 19th for Law and Order. :) I love this show but in France we are a little late (we just have seen season 17).

Elle_Gr - September 15, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
I don't care, as long as the producers and the creative staff can keep us on our toes and their stories -at the very least- interesting. :D

Yes very true Elle_Gr, I reckon as long as the writers don't make sloppy storylines or storylines that have been recycled over and over again, then we can expect to see Crimina Minds stay for a long while.

My God, has it really been almost twenty years of Law and Order? That's insane. I've never watched the original (and only recently got into SVU), so I'm curious. Since procedurals are at a greater risk to recycle material and become boring and overdone (which is the reason I don't think CM should run that long, because I want it to go out while it's still good, y'know?), how did they manage to last? Any L&O fans that can help us out here? I'd love to know their secret.

I hope this show lasts for a long time!

the more the merrier!

I am hoping this show lasts for a while. I am sure that as long as they get the views and ratings they will keep making the show.

huuudaaa - October 8, 2008 05:55 AM (GMT)
8 is perfect i think. 10 would be better if they keep it interesting. Like CSI, it can get a bit predictable sometimes. although there are super interesting eps ofcourse. Hopefully CM will be as awesome or more so than csi, if it does last for 8/10yrs.

I dip in and out of L&O (I'm an SVU fan more than an original fan), but I think it's purely because there's always new things in the news to pick up on, and there's always crimes being committed, so they can change it just slightly to keep it interesting. That and - it seems - frequant cast changes keeps it fresh.

Hotchnergal - November 28, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
I think there contract is for 8 seasons. It could last if the cast want's it too. I just hope no one does anything stupid like everyone's doing on CSI:

x-amber-x - May 5, 2009 11:38 AM (GMT)
I want to show to go on for a while, or until i get over there and have a part in it. That my goal lol
