This is another one of those almost forgotten about episodes from season one. Not one of my favorites....but it's from season one so can we really complain??? :lol:

I think the best part of this one was Gideon annoying Garcia the whole time! :lol:

The story itself, I never knew who the unsub was until they explained it and even then I was a little confused about it. (but then that's not hard to do!) I just thought the guy taking that little boy was strange and his mother was even weirder!

Anyone else have any thoughts on this one?

It's another one of those 'meh' episodes for me. Not bad, but not fantastic. I too loved the Gideon annoying Garcia part. Just checking, that was just a plot thing, right? Mandy didn't hurt himself or anything?

Is this the only mention of Gideon's son? There are still some episodes from the early years I have yet to see, but I don't remember him being around. :unsure: That could have been an interesting storyline. Wasn't there originally a scene in the pilot where he called his ex wife? They should have kept that in. The estranged family aspect, in my opinion, would have given the character depth.

The mom really creeped me out too! It was obvious something was up with her, but really, keeping a little kid locked up to protect your own crazy kid.....That's a whole new level of immoral.

I was, however, really impressed by the actor that played the unsub. He really did look crazy!!! :lol: ;) Made me squirm a little.

This was also one of the more gruesome episodes, and that I could have lived without, but hey, I really don't think that's something TPTB will be easing up on anytime soon, so complaining doesn't do much good. :rolleyes:

Gideon annoying Garcia was so hilarious! I don't know if Mandy was really hurt or not but I liked that he was left behind at the office. It made for some funny moments :D I would never have thought Gideon would go skydiving, I wonder what else was on his list ;)

Btw, was Gideon being serious at the end when he asked "Who's Garcia?" Or was that meant to be a joke? :blink:

Lol, the scene with Hotch and Garcia at the end made me smile :lol: Garcia is so funny when she's mad.

Gideon's son is mentioned in later episodes but only in passing. We never get to meet him and his relationship with Gideon is never explored :( I always wanted to explore Gideon's past with his wife and son but I guess it just wasn't meant to be :( Krissy, you don't think Gideon had enough depth even without the estranged family?!

How icky was the anthropophagy thing? But it was also pretty fascinating ;)

I liked the Morgan/Elle cuteness in this eppy :D
