I was just thinking I hardly ever see guys hug eachother, while when I see my girlfriends we like hug, sometimes more then once if we're in a hugging mood
Most of my male friends and I hardly ever hug, but sometimes, but two male friends…I never see them hug, only if they're like a couple…
And also like my dad and I hug sometimes, but my dad and my brother never hug eachother.

that is a good question i dont know...they think i think it makes them look gay but i dont thiunk it does ..............my ex boyfriend is the only guy i know that will hug other guy friends!!

Some guys look so akward when they hug! My brothers say hugging other guys takes away their "street cred." They don't want to seem girly ;) I love hugging people! Within reason...

Yeah, they think it's too girly. I know some guys do hug each other, though. Just like guys at my school have sleepovers. LMAO. Well at my elementary school they did. I don't know if they do anymore but yeah. Weird. :P

ah, but they DO do the whole handshake/hug thing. Which i think looks weirder than just a hug. But i don't think i like guys that are TOO huggy either.

I'm gonna join in the "they think it makes them look gay and they think that's bad" consensus. I don't know about the handshake hugs though, I don't really have anything against them. At my school all you really see the guys do is shake hands. In fact, last year in my film class me and my partner were filming the stairwell, y'know, getting kids going up and down the stairs (it was going to be used for a change of scenes) and at one point these two guys came along, one was going up, one was going down, and they stopped in the middle where there was a break in the railing and shook hands. The girl I was working with said she absolutely LOVED that part and we had to keep it in. Something about how natural it looked. I think part of the problem is girls. We see guys hugging and we go, "Could you BE anymore girly?"

Personally I don't have anything against it. Go ahead and hug, guys!
