We're already on week three! Did anyone get a chance to re-watch this episode?

I watched it last night. I had almost forgotten what a really good episode this one is! The beginning was so gross when that guy got his leg blown off but I liked the special effects - that guy walking away when he was knocked down by the blast and then he sees the guy that was blown up. And then there was a lot of suspense at the end with the guy that had the bomb around his neck and they were trying to disarm it....loved the tension! This was the first time we really got to see Garcia, other than her giving a quick line on the phone. Her playing Tetris - and I loved her comments and the little hand thing with Morgan!

Again....can we say it enough.....season one was SO good! Gideon was the main character then but we got to see everyone. All the characters had something to do, they worked together and it had a team feel to it. The stories were interesting, exciting - you get completely absorbed into the episode. And they kept us guessing who the unsub was, they had to figure it out with their ever-changing profile and we got taken along for the ride!

Did JJ & Elle ever really have much of a scene with each other? I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I never sensed that they didn't like each other but some of Elle's comments/reactions to JJ in the beginning were a little odd now that I re-watch them. I wonder if there was supposed to be a little friction between them in the beginning.

A really good episode! What did everyone else think?

I think the point was they weren't supposed to be close, and then when Elle left and Emily came along, one of the things to make this character different was to have her and JJ be nicer with each other than JJ and Elle were. I wouldn't say they disliked each other, I think it's more of them just being so different.

I did love that line though:
Hotch: ...And I believe you've already met Agent Jareau.
Cop: Yeah, she's already taken over our office.
Elle: Yeah, she does that.

I thought it was kinda funny, regardless of friction.

I really liked the episode. My favourite out of the first three. Although this was the first time JJ actually went with the team, and that was nice, but it was bothering me how during the plane scene she was just standing off to the side, walking back and forth on her phone, it was distracting me from the action. I don't know if it was meant to imply that she felt awkward going with them or something, but I really wished she would have just sat down!

The ending was, of course, very tense. How many people here would have cut the red wire? I would have. Apparently I'm gullible.

All in all, great ep!

the whole episode is great...i like the quote though...:)

I never sensed any friction between JJ and Elle but Elle was always more one of the boys and I remember thinking back then that JJ often seemed like the outsider on the team. Sometimes it was like she didn't really fit in with the others and I think that shows in lots of the earlier scenes. I never got the impression that JJ and Elle disliked each other in any way, they were just totally different!

I haven't had a chance to have a re-watch yet...

jj is one of my fav characters has been since the beginning ....:) i was always like she remember me of someone i know

I think I disagree with all of you (no suprise there though :D ) I always kinda thought that at the beginning of season 1, JJ and Elle didn't like each other very much. It wasn't something that was said, it was just that i got the vibe that they weren't friends. It wasn't until a lot later...i think around Machismo that their interaction started to feel like the rest of the team's interaction.

As for the quote, i think Elle was just referring to JJ's BIG entrance.lol...funny though

ILoveReed1988 - January 22, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
maybe elle didnt like jj but when she left she did..:)

I know I heard or read somewhere that in the beginning they had a little trouble defining what JJ really did. Maybe that's why she was wandering instead of sitting on the plane!

Anyway, I'm glad they've gotten JJ to be a real part of the team.

ac5000 - January 23, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
aw man, im SUPER glad they decided to actually have JJ do something, rather than having her be there for eye candy for the guys :) Her and Garcia add a certain color the an otherwise dark show. Could you imagine how depressing it would be without Garcia and Morgan's one liner's or JJ's bubbly attitude?

Yes, I like the lighter moments. I keep wondering why they seem to keep making the episodes more bloody and violent....there's enough in there to start with they don't need to add more. I wish they'd have something happy happen for them once in awhile instead of everything so horrible!

jj and garcia charcters i think have grown soo much..:)

Weren't they supposed to make the show less bloody and violent? I heard that somewhere, but I never really noticed a difference. That's why I agree with ac, JJ and Garcia are needed on the show, to give us the moments that make the bloody ones easier to take.

I'm not to sure what I thought about this ep. My opinion seems to change everytime I see it. Maybe it's because I've seen a billion times. Although i loved the ending, it scared the daylights outta me when Gideon went against Bale. And then I watched it a second time, and was like 'huh? how could I have not seen that coming???'

Also, I thought the forum angle was a clever idea, what with Walker being like a scapgoat sorta character. But it made me think of here, and how freaked they'd be if Garcia randomly came across us! :P

And, of course, i loved how Garcia got a bigger pat in this, and her whole 'learning' thing she had with Morgan. Too cute!

ILoveReed1988 - January 23, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
that was a cute part between garcia and morgan
