Sorry for not letting Kyle answer :) but no it doesn't. I have three other forums that are hosted by the same company (Invision) and it doesn't cost anything. It takes a little time to make them and it takes a little while to learn how but otherwise it's fine.

Yeah the forums are free but I think Kyle pays for something forum related...I could be wrong though!

I think he pays for the domain name for the forum...I don't really understand how that works. But the forum itself with Invisionfree is free.

Hey!
The forum itself is free, but it does cost to buy the domain criminalminds.org. Yahoo is weird.. Some years they have discounts where it is like $5.00 to buy the domain for a year. Other times(like last time) it costed $15.00. But it is not pricey at all.
I sometimes pay for ad removal, but it usually only costs like $20 or so.
It is very cheap for me to host this!

Okay, now I have a related question. I knew about the forum being free, but what's this about the domain? From where I can see it's got the regular invisionfree url. And that has confused me for a while because when I first heard about this forum on another board, it was mentioned as CriminalMinds.org. When I typed that in google I ended up here, but it doesn't say CriminalMinds.org in the url space at the top of the page.

Well, we have what is called a domain transfer. If you ever need to get to this site, you can go to www.criminalminds.org and it will transfer to this long z11.invisionfree.com/dfjakljfadjkldjkl!
It is basically just a shortcut. :)

Ohhhhh! I get it now! Yay, that's actually very helpful information, because I have this bookmarked, so if I'd ever felt like accessing it from elsewhere, I thought I'd be screwed. Yay, I'm not. ;)

I actually do it through Yahoo domains, since it is by far the cheapest. Invision offers to do it now, but I do not think they did several years ago when I bought it!!
