| LA QUINTA - George Lopez said he learned one valuable lesson from his first time hosting the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic last year. "I learned I have to pace myself," Lopez said, only half-joking, at the tournament's pairing party at La Quinta Resort on Friday night. "I was over par on the golf, but I was way under par on the parties." Lopez began his second year of hosting duties Friday by helping out with the blind draw of amateurs into the 128-player professional field. The night also gave amateurs a chance to see the final list of professional and celebrities for the tournament. "I think we've got a good field," said Dave Irwin, the president of the 49th Classic. "We may not have the top two or three guys, but we've got a lot of good players, and a lot of the young players are here. They seem to like it, to get a chance to get the season started early." "And they are all pros," Irwin added. The professional field, led by defending champion Charley Hoffman, includes seven members of the 2006 Ryder Cup team, 15 past major championship winners and 13 past Hope winners. Phil Mickelson, the two-time Hope winner who had played the tournament the last six years, did not make a late commitment to the field. Hoffman will begin his defense playing in the celebrity portion of the tournament. His Wednesday round at the newest Hope course, SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, will be with Lopez, Samuel L. Jackson and Luke Wilson. Other pros who will start play at SilverRock on Wednesday include Mike Weir, :canada: Justin Leonard, Chad Campbell, Corey Pavin, John Daly, Rich Beem and Woody Austin. The celebrity field grew to 31 players Friday with the addition of Kevin James, star of the long-running sitcom "King of Queens" and Olympic skier Toby Dawson, who played on the 2007 winning pro-am team. The Lopez-Jackson-Wilson trio is one of three all-celebrity threesomes in the field. Actors Thomas Gibson, Anthony Anderson and Jimmy Fallon will play together, as will Kevin James, Gary Valentine, an actor and James' brother, and comedian Kevin Nealon. Fallon and Valentine are among the first-time celebrity players in the field that include sportscaster Keith Jackson, celebrity chef Ming Tsai, surfer Kelly Slater, actor Jeffery Donovan, singer Meat Loaf and Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson. |

Definetly! Although, Dad will wonder about my sudden interest in golf....since he doesn't watch CM, so has no idea who Thomas is...He'll probably assume I'm watchign for Chad Micheal Murray, and spend the whole time pointing him out, lol

Oh my gosh, was CMM your guy before TG? I used to like CMM, and I had these posters on my walls and everytime my mom saw them she'd be like, "What's wrong with his nose?" And I'd be like, "Nothing! Leave his nose alone!" :rolleyes: :lol:

This is true . . . Thomas Gibson sure is handsome. I've been in love with him since I was pretty young and caught him once in awhile on Chicago Hope and then when that was over I totally switched over to Dharma and Greg just so I could stare at him for a half an hour. Which is totally why I love that Criminal Minds is an hour long because I get to stare at TG for an hour . . . Shallow I know but I don't care.
