You know you're obsessed with Criminal Minds when...

• You practice saucy ways to answer the phone in manner of Garcia or similar.
  
• Instead of saying "whathisname" you say "The UnSub".
  
• You actually consider being an FBI Agent, Profiler, or computer genius just so you can be like your favourite character.

Oh gosh, I don't know...

Would be cool to be a Special Agent, though!

This applies more to House with me than CM, but let's go with:

• You get angry if you miss an episode (and you think taping "just isn't the same").

• You make sure NOT to have any plans on the night the show airs... That way you DON'T have to tape it or TiVo it

• You watch other movies and television shows starring the actresses and actors, just so you can compare characters.

• You do the above to get your 'fix'

• You watch even the movies where they have bit parts to get your fix.
  
• You watch these things over and over again and never manage to get tired of them.
  
• You've watched them so much that you can quote parts of the movie/television show verbatim.

Have a friend that is the last two with The Wizard of Oz :P

• You collect clippings in a shoebox.
• You buy the stuff (you know you shouldn't) from eBay and hide it.

• You don't notice what the episode (movie, etc.) was about, because you're too busy rating Garcia's jokes and dissecting Tom's Irish accent (which Kat and I did after seeing In from the Night).
  
• No one stares when you jump up and down at the thought of a new episode.
  
• You've forgotten that there is more to the FBI than the BAU, and that CM isn't the only Bureau-toting show on television.
  
• You're well aware that Quantico is a small town and everyone would have to drive to Alexandria if they want a life.

• When people ask "are you a genius?" you go into Reid's famous speech before sheepishly answering "no."

• All your friends and family members are familiar with Reidisms, the nuances of each 'ship and everything else you spout at them on a daily basis.
  
• You deny your obsession. (Beachfront property on DENIAL is at a great price right now, by the way…)

• You start having interesting dreams about your favorite characters in CM. :)

• You count the wardrobe changes of your favourite character.

When you hear the song "I want candy!" you spend the entire day humming it but chaging the word 'candy' to 'Mandy' in your head.

You know you're obsessing when you watch the same repeat twice, or in some cases three times in the same week [and it isn't for research].

Hahaha... :D It's shown four times a week in the UK - twice on Fridays and twice on Sundays. And yes...I have :lol:

And my own suggestion-

When you think a girls' night out with Garcia, JJ and Elle would be way more fun than one with your own mates!!!

BTW, I don't believe I know the words to "I want Mandy" - I mean, Candy - could anyone post them, cos I'm curious :lol: :lol: :lol:

- You quote the show wherever possible.
- People ask you about the four minutes that they missed in the beginning of the episode the night before.
- Your teachers are begging you to not mention it in another essay.
- You correct your teachers because follow-up studies on certain mental issues you saw on the show caught your attention.
- You speak of Gideon, Reid, Hotch, Garcia, Morgan and Elle as your friends and disown anyone who tells you that they're not real.
- You don't know how many times you've started a sentence with "This is just like [scene] in Criminal Minds!"
- You have one or more CM-related pictures on your walls.

Actually people ask me about entire episodes (Apparently I'm a pretty good storyteller)...

I do have a CM poster and a Gideon shot (the diploma that only took me hmm... three years after convocation to actually hang is back on the floor [at least it got to keep the frame, so far so good])... The CM poster (of the boys minus Reid, not sure why) isn't up yet... I have to move my office into my 'blue room' before I start putting up the 'art work')... Still have to decide if the Phantom of the Opera poster gets to stay (Maybe and only if there is enough space)...

Oh, and mine: You know your obsessed when your mom pulls you aside to tell you that you shouldn't bring up a television show character in the midst of normal conversation because it makes you look young.

You search for the music that's played in the background... I'm so bad for this... Tears and Rain ~ James Blunt (but I ended up buying the CD and it's great!) and I really like When the Music's Not Forgotten ~ Deadman... That was harder to find because of Theory of a Deadman...

I love love love James Blunt!!! I was so excited when they played him on the show. I was all like, ok, so now I know this is the best show ever.

You know you're obsessed when you pick the song that will be playing when you get attacked by an unsub.

You know when you're obsessed when everyone you work with knows the entire CM plotline even though they never have seen the show. Also when your coworkers come in the following morning after a new episode of Criminal Minds and expect you to tell them about the episode and if at all possible... act it out. From there, analyzing each of the characters in hopes of better understanding them.

You know you're obsessing when you won't date a guy just because he watches Lost.

You know youre obsessing when you remind all of your friends/collegues(excuse the spelling please!) to watch CM on the day of the show countless of times every week even though you know they'll never watch it because you profiled them and they have a huge huge huge ego.


you know youre obsessing when you memorise a certain quote from the week's episode and write it down on the whiteboard/noticeboard the next day every week. *edit* this is meant for students, btw. haha */edit*


you know youre obsessing when you profile everyone you meet and wonder if the team would come up with the same profile as you.


you know youre obsessing when you get out of the shower with soap all over you (in a towel, ofcourse) just to watch the ad for CM for the zillionth time and still get excited, jumping up and down.


you practise reading 20 000 words per second everyday, every time you can.

You know you're obsessing when you make screencaps of eight episodes in one weekend.

... when you order three used books to try to solve the finale puzzle

... when you have the finale puzzle solved within two weeks

... when you know every episode by both number and title

... when you start seeing references to Chicago Hope and Dead Like Me in episodes

... when you consider starting to watch Dharma and Greg to see if references to that show appear

I could go on, but that's more than enough for an introduction!

I know, I called everyone, sent emails, IM's everything to remind them to watch the series premiere on AXN... didnt work as i'd like to..
