Title: 2008 New Year's resolutions
Description: Are you trying any this year?
I love this show! - December 31, 2007 03:45 AM (GMT)
Is anyone making any resolutions for the coming year? For myself my goals are to get my dad's house sold. I want to be completely debt free by the end of this year! I want to take my trip to Europe. I really want to lose some weight before my vacation. And last but not least I really need to work on my attitude where work is concerned.
What does everyone else want to accomplish in 2008?
Rach112 - December 31, 2007 09:26 AM (GMT)
Cut back on the shopping! Ha, just joking.
1) Be more careful with my money and learn to save
2) Study! So I actually pass my courses and can apply to uni
3) Get fitter and healthier
3) Make the most of all opportunities! And just keep enjoying life :D

I have only one - finding my parents... B)

Me too. I get bigger every year :P
- Do my best at school, be more fluent in more languages.
- Clean my room more often.
- Make money and save it!
- Try to be more outgoing.
- Turn the sound down from my pc, I always listen to music very hard, but don't want to lose my hearing ;) *I have already done this*
Write down what you have eaten, everything, that way you'll eat less! :)

my resolutions are the same every year and ive never fully complete them.
- not go online every day
- actually follow and carry out my timetable. (530pm; study, 330pm, do chores, booo)
- keep my room clean!!
- exercise more (and i need it. our P.E lessons are like, once a week - half an hour a week. minus changing time, we have 10mins of stretching and craps)
- eat veggies. that includes carrots. but i cant bring myself to eating it. i lovve broccolis though! i dont get why ppl dont like them
JulieFan - January 1, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
Hey Huda! In which country do you live again?
Edit: Singapore :D my dad was born in Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia!

Good luck with that. I know that's one resolution I'd NEVER be able to keep! It's like a sickness. Plus it doesn't help that I have to go online for school stuff, so it's like the universe is teasing me!
I'm not sure I've ever had broccoli, but I really love carrots. Why don't you like them?
Luna - January 1, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Oh what I want to do:
Sport more
Paint more, I might want to go to some fancy artschool, but then I really need to have a little more then talent
Make more music, and become a better pianist and guitarist.
Finish this year with nice grades
Get into the exchange and go to Costa Rica
Maybe get a nice part time job
Finish my room…and then move to a new house :P
Fall in love ;)
Rach112 - January 1, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
Not go online evey day? Impossible :P
CM Addict -You've never had broccoli? It's the best vegetable ever!
I just want to have lots of fun this year!
I love this show! - January 1, 2008 07:54 PM (GMT)
I love broccoli (but I like it cooked....not so much raw)
I will be happy if I can get through the year without a major catastrophe or a death in the family. :P
JulieFan - January 1, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
This year I'll allow only one person to die. NOT MORE!
I'll drink less soda, more water! That's much better! :D
Luna - January 1, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
One person? to much for me, I've this:
If someone I love dares to die, I'll revive him/her just to kill her myself for dieing on me! :P
JulieFan - January 1, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
Haha. Well 'Uncle' Bob dies this year, hopefully he will be the only one. He has peace with it, luckily. But still dying SUCKS!
Luna - January 1, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
Jep, it does…I actually do hope for someone I love to die…because I love him (he's totally bored and waiting for dead (his own words) and he is old and lost his sight and ability to move…so yeah…I don't think he want's to go on anymore…wow making myself depressed  )
Anyways…not going online everyday…good luck with that one Huda ;)
I love this show! - January 1, 2008 08:10 PM (GMT)
I would never be able to keep that resolution (not going online) That would be like cutting off my oxygen!

Same!
I can't imagine a drama free year, I don't think it has ever happened before ;)

Yes, my mom knows a similar person, a far away family member I think. She is very old, she wants to die, she's over 90 but she just doesn't die no matter how hard she prays and wishes <_< She's in a home but when she said she had to go to the bathroom, the nurse just said 'do it in bed, we clean it anyway'
CM Addict - January 2, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
Hey Luna, why Costa Rica? I've never heard of anyone doing an exchange there before (a girl at my school went to Belgium last year, but that's it).
Rach - Yeah, I'm a deprived child. There's lots of foods that are pretty common that I have't tried. Broccoli, Spinach, the list goes on but I'm too lazy to think of the rest right now.....
JulieFan - January 2, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
My brother is going on an exchange to the Czech Republic
Luna - January 2, 2008 04:24 PM (GMT)
Because Costa Rica rocks! It's beautiful and warm…okay, when I come there it's the hurricane season, but still. And Costa Rica has rainforrest and it's the economically best doing country in Latin America and it has culture and it's great! :D
Rach112 - January 2, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
I'm in love with Costa Rica since I had to do a project on it! Maybe I can fit that into my travels :)
CM Addict - I don't think you're missing much by not eating spinach ;)
CriminalMind - January 3, 2008 06:59 PM (GMT)
Ergh, I have many, and I bet I don't complete them all! :P
1) To learn a new language, or improve on one of my with-standing ones
2) To learn a new word, and use it every day (always wanted to do that one! :-D)
3) To tone up - After Christmas, it's not just the turkey that's stuffed!
4) To save more damn money! Collage is expensive, and I want to buy pretty things for me!!!
5) To finally make up my mind about Uni (Whether I wanna go, or take a gap year)
6) To pass my AS Levels, with damn good grades, to make my second year easier
7) To be more 'social' - ie, no more lurking in corners at parties, to get out an enjoy/flirt etc
There's a few which (I hope) I can actually complete! :P
Rach112 - January 28, 2008 01:26 PM (GMT)
So who's given up?!
I am happy to say mine are going quite well, except for the study one. I must work on that!
I love this show! - January 28, 2008 05:31 PM (GMT)
I'm still working on my diet.....I haven't lost as much as I had hoped but I'm still working on it.
ILoveReed1988 - January 28, 2008 05:47 PM (GMT)
none of my resoultion ever come try
Rach112 - January 28, 2008 05:54 PM (GMT)
Aww. Why not Amanda?
Pam - I haven't lost much either! But as the health experts always say, it is better when it comes off slowly and it is more likely to stay off!
I think it might help if I managed to stay away from bread and yummy muffins though...Hmm, what a time to learn how to make vegan desserts!
CriminalMind - January 28, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
Mine aren't too bad, I guess *shifty look*
1) No, I haven't even started on that, lol
2) No, not even close!
3) Yes, actually, slowly but surely. Hiking up the hill to collage each morning is helping that! :P
4) I guess, although I've already mentally spent all my wages in my bike mag! *sigh*
5) I think I nearly have, gotta fine tune things, but I figure, what with the school system in the US, I can go to Uni here, then on to specialise in the US
6) I'm on a C average, except for Psych, which is an A!
7) I guess so.... There's a party this Friday taht I'm probably gonna go to. Plus, I'm totally hoeing it up wioth Jamie, so it's all good! :P
ILoveReed1988 - January 28, 2008 08:35 PM (GMT)
i dont everytime i do them then never work
CM Addict - January 28, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
I'm with Amanda. I stopped trying after a few years. I figure if you really want to change something about yourself, you won't need to wait for the New Year to do it, you'll just start right away. That and I don't have the willpower for resolutions. I'm pathetic like that.
