Title: Help!

GideonsGirlAnanke - April 23, 2006 04:34 AM (GMT)
Can't remember how to make an animation (in photoshop) for the life of me!

Assistance, por favor?

Emmylou - April 23, 2006 07:05 AM (GMT)
I'm not actually familiar with Photo Shop but if you want to make a bog standard animation you could try this site.

It hates me, Emmy...:(

As long as you're not going for any incredibly shiny effects, Easy Gif Animator is a really effective one. It's only a thirty-open sample, but you can uninstall and reinstall for more free time! ;)

Oh good...I've had programs like that before that wouldn't let you do the un/re technique you mentioned.

I'll try that then, and let y'all know.

Actually, I should clarify...

If either of you know a picture editing program where I can type in the crop demensions, that would be great.

*lets out a squeak*

Uh, hello...my apologies Ms. -- Mr. Marcel, sir.

*is flustered*

Um...first, perhaps I should ask if it's meant to make an animation out of more than two images? Because I wasn't clear on that...

Skorpija - April 27, 2006 10:11 PM (GMT)
hehe, no problem :D

Yes, you can make an animation of more then 2 images.
When u go to the site, click directly in the "Effect" menu and choose "Start Animation Wizard".

Upload here as much images as you want (dimensions maximum of 250 by 250).

When u click the "Create My Animation" button, the animation is made.

You can set the Delay Time by clicking on an uploaded image (Delay time = time that the image will display). When clicking on an image you can also set the type of transition that you want to have.... (just click on an uploaded image and you'll see what i mean)

You get off-course the nicest animation when the uploaded images have all the same dimensions...

If you do not succeed, tell me where it goes wrong or what is unclear and i'll do my best to help B)

Regards,
Marcel

I put in transitions and the animation wouldn't turn out.

They wouldn't go anywhere, actually. They looked like they'd start going, and nothing would happen.

Shall I show you what happens?

Skorpija - April 28, 2006 10:13 AM (GMT)
Yes, i am curious what is going wrong.

Because if it does not work for you, others also probably have problems.. :(

GideonsGirlAnanke - April 28, 2006 07:08 PM (GMT)
*jumps up and down and has a small fit*

Okay...Nothing's wrong.

Just try putting on a warning that says something to the effect of "it may not look like it's working, but it is".

'Cause I saved what appeared to be a non-working animation, created on your site. And then I saved it to PhotoBucket, and it still didn't look like it was working.

But when I posted the link to the animation on here, lo and behold, it worked just fine!

A little crappy looking, because they were JPGs that had been transformed into GIFs (don't ask me how the other one I found makes it look just fine), but otherwise... :P

Skorpija - April 28, 2006 08:24 PM (GMT)
Nice, good thing it worked :D

The image with the text on it and the third image, have a little bit different size than your other 2 photo's. This "disturbs" the animation a bit, nevertheless it works fine.

But i am happy that you made something nice...

If you have any suggestions for the site just let me know...

Regards,
Marcel

P.S.: If you plan on staying around, would you mind making a proper intro in the Intro section?

Thanks!

That will be next on my "todo" list :)

I am optimizing the gif automatically so the filesize is smaller, but i will create an "option" for it, so the user can choose them self..

I wasn't really planning to stay, as i know nothing about "Criminal Minds".

But i will drop by ones in a while anyway :P
