I was just writing another topic which made me think of this one. :lol: How many of us can remember the first CM episode we watched? And what about it caught your attention?

I remember I saw parts of a few CM episodes. I know Riding the Lightning was one because I remember the scene where JJ goes in to help Hotch when he's talking to Jacob and the poker game where he wants to "smell JJ's hair" *creepy!*

And then I know I saw Fisher King I, which was really the episode that got me hooked, and it was a few weeks before season two started. I don't think I've missed an episode since! :rolleyes:

And it was the characters of Reid and Garcia that I liked so much! I wanted to see more of them, and of course I fell in love with all the characters. :D

Me and mum had been syaing for aggggges about how we should watch it, since it seemed good. But we kept missing it! *blush* Eventually, we saw it, when it was re-running, and it was bits and pieces of 'Extreme Aggressor', but we weren't really concentrating properly, so we thought it sukced *Blush* How wrong we were! :P

So, finally, we watched it from about 'The Fox' onward. Loved it! I just loved it because it was an aspect of crime shows we hadn't really seen. I watch 'CSI' 'SVU' etc etc so I had the behind the scenes, the police work, etc etc, but not really the prevention. Which is why I loved it!

I watched from the first episode, Extreme Aggressor! It was on a Tuesday night like, 11pm, and there was no school the next day. CSI had just finished so i decided to watch tv till i fall asleep, since i rarely get to do that. I guess it was my luck that they were just starting a new show, CM.
What got me hooked was obviously Reid! I was amazed at how he solved the password thing that quick, and how he could tell how the unsub is like at just a glance at the board game!

Then after that, well, i always fall asleep in class on wednesdays =)

My first episode was the pilot. I watched it because I'm a Lola fan and I loved it! I always find the first couple off eppy's in any show a bit wierd because I don't know the characters but I adored Reid and I thought the cast had great chemistry.

so I'm just going to say it outloud....

i remember hearing somewhere that AJ Cook (yes, im a fan of hers :P ) was in a new crime drama show called Criminal Minds, so i tuned in. and the first episode i managed to catch was Derailed. AWESOME episode!

I was a little late in the game- my first was Sex, Birth, Death.. I admit it my reason was somewhat shallow at first-it was Shemar.

LDSK. At that time, I didn't know the show and when I had seen Hotch kicking Reid at the end, I was a little lost "what is he doing ? He is supposed to be his boss, no :huh: ?".

I become fan since the first episode I had seen. :)

JJ_16 : Lmao Im pretty sure that was my first episode too,i was really late getting into it,and my reason was Shemar in the beginning as well,so you arent the only one! lmao!

I saw The Big Game as first episode, last may, I had my tv on while chatting online and well it started and I was like half looking half listening music, half chatting with friends, half on the phone :unsure: (yes me is ashamed)
But then…the ending! :ph43r: And I was like No! They can't just kill two of it's characters! Can they? :huh:
So I needed to see the next episode and when I saw it I was hooked! :D

I had the same first episode as ac, it was Derailed. But it wasn't until a few weeks before the third season premiere. I can't really explain what I liked about it specifically, I just found the whole storyline interesting. But I wasn't really hooked until Aftermath, which was rerun the next week. At the end of that episode I knew this was going to be my new addiction. ;)

I saw the pilote and I liked it, but I was hooked at L.D.S.K. Totally. Forever....

Well, I made this forum because my favorite show "Third Watch" has been canceled, but I heard that Ed Bernero was going to be co producer of another show. So I am like "OMG I HAVE TO SEE IT!" So I bought this domain and all that.

So then the show starts. But at this time, I was Christian and went to this Church thing every Wednesday from 7-8:30.

So I missed it, and I hate watching only part of an episode. So for like a year I did not watch it.

finally, I got a DVD recorder and started to record it. I then got into the show a bit more! I believe it was the episode where there was a university, and there was this man who would put gas in the lightbulbs and it would blow up and kill the person. It was at a college. And yea! Then i got hooked, and now I love it :)

Compulsion. It's the second ep of the first season, you were pretty fast!

Well, for a lot of the first season I had religion class every Wednsday so I never saw Criminal Minds and I never really thought of it. But one day it snowed a ton so we got a "snow day" from religion. I was already hooked on all of the other crime shows, and when I was flipping through channels I hit CM and thought I would give it a try. It was the episode "Derailed" and since that day I've either watched or recorded every episode of CM. :)

Isn't it interesting how the greatest shows you've gotten into happened accidentally? That's happened with me before too. You just stumble onto it by chance. :)

Lol it must have been a rerun some time later on, because I think it was during Christmas break when I saw it!!

So true! I found it totally by accident! In fact I think I was mixing up a couple of shows and wasn't sure who went with which show in the beginning because I was only seeing bits and pieces but it was Reid and Garcia that caught my attention and I had to see more. It wasn't long before I was hooked! Same with this forum too. I was looking for someplace to discuss the show but I'm not sure how I stumbled on this place. I'm glad I did though!!! :D

with me it was different i saw previews of the show ..like sayin it comin and i saw one of my fav actors..mandy and im glad OMG that has mandy on it ive gotta see it..:) and the forum im like i wonderif Cm has like a chattin site to chat with other fans and i put criminal minds in the google search bar and found ya..:)

I remember that What Fresh Hell was the very first one I watched. I was 12, I think, when it was on, so my parents didn't really want me watching it.

I can't remember at which episode I started to watch it regulary. Sometime at the start of Season 2.

i still love this show as much as i did when i first started watchin it

I saw the ads channel 5 had on promoting CM and I watched the pilot and I've followed it since :)

I saw bits of Extreme Aggressor when it first aired, but I was obsessing over something else at the time :rolleyes: Then I caught half of Seven Seconds a while ago and since then I've been in the miserable situation of obsessing over characters that I've mostly just read about, since I've only seen Season 3. Hopefully my Season 1 & 2 DVDs will arrive soon...

Nadi - most of us liked Season One the best so you should really enjoy the DVD's of the earlier seasons. But you will be amazed to see how much the characters have changed! :)

Wow a lot of you got hooked in season 1!!! I never knew about Criminal Minds till season 2. I didn't stumble on but i watched re runs of Tru Calling just for something to watch and decided to check on IMBb to see what the actors have done since then and I looked up Eliza Dushku first then got to Aj Cook and saw she was on a show called "Criminal Minds" on CBS...so i wrote down Wednesday at 9 and when the day came i watched and it was the episode where Paget first showed up and i remember i was really excited because Aj's character came in with her shawl on and my first thought was "is she a judge!?!" cause i didn't know what this show was about and it looked like she was wearing a robe then i recognised everyone else. Paget Brewster, the one who broke up Joey and Chandler for awhile. Mandy Patinkin from Dead Like Me, Thomas Gibson from Dharma & Greg, and Shemar Moore from Birds of Prey. Also later i found out Aj's character wasn't a judge. Obviously. But i was hooked. And my mom got hooked too so she bought season 1 on DVD. And she didn't care about the dead bodies for me because ever since i was 15, before i found out about CM season 1, i became a horror movie fan.

my first ep was the tribe but then i sorta watched it when it was on but i officially got hooked later when i saw revelations and loved it!

The first part, which I saw 2.15. Onto so much liked, James Van der Breek got the madman, I was able to wait for a week hardly. I was not waiting, I downloaded it in English and I looked with a Hungarian subtitle.. of course :lol: :lol: :D

I took it from the beginning. So, my 1st episode was Extreme Agressor.

I graduated in March and I had to run for applications on a MA so I had quite some time in my hands. After managing to watch the SVU up to the last episode (9.14) until the writers' strike, I had to pick a new one. I do love police and that kind of series (not purily police drama though, I'm not a CSI fan for example, I like more complicating stuff), I was going through reviews of American TV shows in a greek forum so I 'd pick something. After a few failed attempts in Rescue me and Oz, I decided to watch Criminal Minds. I knew I'd love it, but a friend was so persistent on RM and Oz that I at least had to try (now she 's off my back! :P ).

I was instantly hooked though! I loved the way we see Elle for the first time and the I'm-not-putting-armed-men-in-a-house-with-children scene! Clever (and thoughtful) girl!

Not to mention that I already knew Shemar Moore from "the young and the restless" 'cause my mom used to watch it back then when I was a student. What an eye candy! :rolleyes:

My first episode was the piolet even though I had to recored it because went on vaction the day it came out but when I got back i watched it and have been hooked ever seens mainly on Spencer lol :P

Yes I do, but i forgot the episode name. It's the on where a boy approaches Reid believing he could become a killer. So Reid helps him and stuff. I'll post back when i find the episode name. I was soo hooked from that episode on, I think I saw it on the adds and decided to give it a shot lol.

My first episode was 'Derailed'. I was over at a friends house, and she forced me to watch it. The first ten minutes, I was complaining about how stupid it was. At the end of the Episode, my eyes were glued to the TV screen.
