just curious how old (or young) we all are??

I'm kind of far down on the list! <_< I'm 38 - but I don't feel that old! (probably don't act that old either.....oh, except for knowing the "cool" music and TV shows and stuff.....then my age definitely shows! :lol: )

OK I'm the old one here .. :lol: .. i'm 44 ... get my cane ready .. :P :lol: I know all the old tv shows and new music that isn't reallly new because it originally came out 30 years ago .. :lol: I don't like a lot of the stuff that passes for entertainment these days ... in music and on tv, but for the most part I think i'm cool :P

I'm 17.

My friend Tom and I had a conversation a few months ago when we had turned 17. We talked about that we feel old and that we should get rooms at the retirement home because we feel we had lived our lives... :P This was a serious conversation but our friends just laughed at us :rolleyes:

I'm 17. I love being young :D I think it's crazy though when people worry about their age, getting old doesn't bother me at all.

I'm 18, alltough I always think im younger..:P

I am a sohpmore in high school, but next semester I will technically be considered a Junior. It astonishes me, because I have no clue how I got so many credits!

Hey well at least I don't feel so old anymore :D I turned 31 on September 24th. But I still get carded all the time when I go out with friends. But hey it's no big deal. :)

Well...we're learning all kinds of things about each other aren't we?!! I knew Kyle, you were young but I didn't realize you were only 15...I thought you were a year or two older. The same with Rach and Jemma.....I knew you were both teenagers but I thought you were both a little older. Isn't that funny! :lol:

Yup.. I am still 15.. I can not wait until my birthday though, because it feels like 16 is the age where finally people treat you somewhat like an adult! lol oh well, age is just a number. i had a boyfriend who was 18, and we could legally date here in texas because we were 3 years apart.. so i guess technically speaking i am not that young, if i can legally date an adult!
we broke up though. we are too good of friends to be dating lol.

anyways now juliefan - i never knew you were 17!! lol i thought you were in your early 20's or maybe 18 or 19 lol.. close enough though lol

Most people think I'm a lot older because I don't look 17. The thing that gives my age away is my voice and the way I act (a class mate said that) :P!

Hah, that is one thing I love about America.. We can drive at 15 with an adult, and drive by ourselves when we are 16!! So yeah, I get my license on my birthday(which is in 29 days)

As for health insurance.. If I go to college, then my dads plan covers my health insurance. If not, I have to get a job that offers it to its people. Gosh, I wish we had universal health care lol

Do you think that would make America a better place to live? My cousin lost his braces in a burger place and they had to pay 700 dollars and it wasn't insured.

And I would like to think a hospital is the most expensive hotel on earth. Did you know that a trip in an ambulance costs $650? Expensive huh!

It would definetely help the middle class if we had universal health care, yes!

In America, anyone can go to the hospital and be treated. It does not matter where you are from, if you are a legal citizen, or your wealth. The only problem, is this costs the tax payers a lot.. I mean star flight(being flown on a helicopter) costs $14,000!! And if you honestly can not afford it, then it is free. So can you imagine how much the tax payers pay?!!

But at the same time, free only gets you the minimum. You can not do nearly as much as you could with health insurance. You only get the bare minimum without health care.

So yes, it would be much better if we had health care! Plus, medicine would be much cheaper.. I mean look how cheap it is in Canada!

Not sure how the topic veared off to health care...but I love it!! You youngsters are so great!! You make me feel young!!

and jemma and rach.....we "normally" start college in the Fall of our 18th year....well most of my friends did....thats high school/college here in Alberta...why so young? I got totally confused since I thought you were both older! FAB!

hehe, yeah, here we get kicked out of our nice, cosy, secondry schools when we're 16, and then can either go on to jobs, or some sort of further education. Blergh, tis expensive though!
