Ahhhh.....Haley and Jack make an appearance in this episode huh? I wonder what the news on the home front is for Hotch?
ILoveReed1988 - October 20, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
i dont know...guess we will find out!
Special Agent Jentzer - October 20, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
This will have a strong effect on hotch (as a parent)...seeing how he has lost his own child :(
Rach112 - October 20, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
Maybe we'll see a reconciliation? Or not...Seems like it's gonna be a pretty tense eppy. No Strauss! I tend not to like the missing kid storyline in shows but maybe this will convert me, especially if it leads to some character development with Hotch.

Haley left Hotch and took Jack, don't know if it's permanent...

What season are you on Juliefan? What are the last few episodes you've seen?
JulieFan - October 20, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
Oh I thought you meant he had died!
The last episode I have seen is about a man who drowns women.
ILoveReed1988 - October 20, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
noo..he aint dead..just haley left is all..not DEAD!
I love this show! - October 20, 2007 08:53 PM (GMT)
Juliefan.....so you're still on season one? Charm and Harm? That was a good episode. I liked all the episodes in season one! So you haven't even seen any of season two yet? No wonder we probably confused you!
If you have any comments to make about the older episodes don't be afraid to dig up some of the old topics or even start a new thread about any of them. I never get tired of discussing the show - even if it's from season one! :)
JulieFan - October 20, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
Everytime I open a topic I read a spoiler lol :P oh well I don't care, 90% of the time I look up the ending of a movie.
ILoveReed1988 - October 20, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
i do that 2...juliefan..lol!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rach112 - October 20, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
Brigitte - You should check out youtube for all the season 2 and season 3 episodes if you want to catch up! I loved season one, best season in my opinion so if you want to chat about the episodes, Pam and I would totally love it! :D I could chat about season one all day...

Not Dead...just Lost...not really lost either....gone, with wacky wife!
And yes another episode about children.... :(
**SPOILERS FROM SIDES**
**
-local girl goes missing at a mall
-possible link to a case where a girl was taken from the same mall
-very emotionally charged episode as time is off the essences.
-our team does a great job
-strange twist of events make for a complicated ending.
-I think we will see (again), emily's strong maternal instincts.**

or…you could look on
http://www.tudou.com/search/programs/?post...et=0&comefrom=1It's maybe easier to find…you've to go a few pages back to find the next episode you want to watch and they're shown in 2 parts.
Whatever you think is easier.
(BTW, just look at the numbers, the rest is kind of hocus pocus for me anyway, but first number is the season, second two the episode and the A and B stand for the first (A) or the second (B) part ;) well you probably got that… )
But anyway: They do a lot of child episodes recently…well…the first one was about College kids, so that aren't children, second one the poor kid who's father was an ass (to say it very lightly) third no kids, fourth: fostercare and well murdered, fifth: kidnapped.
I think that if I was a parent with young children I so not would like Criminal Minds, would make me paranoïd  I would be like: "no you can't go to a friends house, what if his dad is a man who seems very nice but actually is a serial killer?"
Yeah…my children are going to hate me :P
I love this show! - October 22, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
I don't think that's a coincidence with Hotch's situation right now.
I could never be a profiler! I would be paranoid for myself and for everyone I know!

Season one has the best case-based episodes if you ask me, but season 2 and 3 are also nice because you see more of well the person behind the badge, which is also nice.
But season one has Elle, which will always be a big plus!
I think it is also my favorite season, but Revelations is my favorite episode ;)
I love this show! - October 23, 2007 11:34 AM (GMT)
They had some really good episodes in season 2 (and a couple of good ones already in season 3) but overall I liked season 1 the best.....I think I liked it better when they seemed more like a team. In Season 2 it seemed to focus more on the individual profilers, which I liked learning more about each of them......I just liked it better when they seemed to be more of a "family"
I will miss Gideon the way I still miss Elle. I hope we never get to the place where I'm having to write I will miss Reid! :(
ILoveReed1988 - October 24, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
:) yea..i miss elle still..and miss Gideon!! :(
ILoveReed1988 - October 25, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
this was a very good episode...but was very disturbing !!! i mean the uncle and the aunt omg..im glad i dont have a aunt or uncle like that...!!! i love my man reid..he's soo wonderful!!
I love this show! - October 25, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
So.......what did everyone think of this episode? I need to watch it again but my first impression was it was......not so great. I don't even know a word to describe it. It didn't even feel like a CM episode to me. I think if that script had been for a different show I would have liked it better. I felt like I was watching a totally different show with CM characters. It was interesting how it unfolded but again....it just felt off balance to me.
The timeline seemed really off to me. I would love to believe that all that could happen that fast but it seemed unrealistic. Can it be noticed a child is missing, they look a few minutes for her themselves, call the police, call the BAU, everyone gets there, evacuate a mall, question people, search a mall, go through security camera footage, bring in search dogs.....all that happened in less than an hour????
I don't know.....it was weird to me.
What does everyone else think?
ILoveReed1988 - October 25, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
i like this episode....kids have diappered in malls...like the CM episode before...i did in walmart once...went missin...an i was bigger...I love my man reid..he was soo amazing ..:)
Kell7998 - October 25, 2007 02:37 PM (GMT)
that was my favorite episdode! that was amazing, ahhh. it would have been a wee bit better with Elle, but it was still really good
Garcia44 - October 25, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
To me this was the best episode thus far. At least we didn't know who the unsub was 5 minutes into the show & this episode was a good reminder of just how important it is to keep an eye on your kids at all times ... especially when you're out in crowded places like malls. It truly does only take a few seconds for your child to be taken and unfortunately, all too often they are taken by someone you know, or thought you knew, quite well.
I love this show! - October 25, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
I guess I'm alone on this one! Everyone else seems to have loved the episode. Well.....I need to watch it again. I didn't think it was bad.....I just didn't really like it either. The only way I can explain it is what I said before - it was a good episode it just didn't feel like Criminal Minds to me.
(I think it's just me!)
ac5000 - October 25, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
i actualy liked this episode. its nice to actually see the team as one and not in different places. Sure, its a different script and it has a different feel, but inside, its still the same CM, just a different taste.
I love this show! - October 25, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
I'm glad everyone else liked it more than I did. :P
I think Reid has multiple personalities....there's the shy awkward Reid, the irritable-on-drugs Reid and last night we got to meet a mature, confident (talking about girls) Reid. I wonder how many more different Reid's there are left to discover? ;)

Great episode but horrible story. ;)
Garcia was awesome. “The 1980s just called, they want their security system back.”
What a twisted family!!! The uncle molesting his niece and the wife blaming that poor six year old. I did not see that coming at all. Great teamwork.
Next Week - Hello Joe
take care

Alright, I watched it again and I did like it better, but I still don't think it will ever be one of my favorite episodes. Too many inconsistancies in my opinion.
I think the part I liked the best of the whole episode was also the saddest and most heart wrenching.....the whole scene with Emily accusing Susan Jacobs of knowing what her husband was doing to Katie. :(
ILoveReed1988 - October 27, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
i like what garcia ...the 1980's called..LOL..soo funny
Luna - October 27, 2007 09:08 AM (GMT)
I hate the uncle and aunt!!!!!!!! Poor girl! What a horrible family she has! (and poor dad, what if your brother does soemthing like that to your baby  ) and the boy, who now has lost his whole family :(
I liked Reid this episode a lot, he was great.
And the end with Hotch, was really sad :(
I don't think I'm going to forget the image of the doll fast :( Poor Katie!
I loved the episode!!!
Claire - October 27, 2007 03:48 PM (GMT)
I see this episode with youtube ! So sad :( :( !!
When I saw that Hotch went to his sister in law house, I was hoping that he wanted to talk to Haley ( you know something like "I miss you and Jack, and I hope that we have a possibily to still live together... I'm sorry for everything" and so on) in order to they stay together because I hope they don't getting divorce...
ILoveReed1988 - October 27, 2007 06:52 PM (GMT)
Yea..hotch was sooo sweet...:) ..i love reid in this...with the boy in intergating him
I love this show! - October 27, 2007 06:56 PM (GMT)
I think MGG did a good acting job in this one.....Reid just seemed like a different Reid to me - since when is he not awkward and confident about talking to girls??? But other than that I liked Reid too. But Paget I actually thought gave the best performance of the episode. I really liked Emily in this one - I thought her scenes were the most powerful (but also the saddest) :(
ILoveReed1988 - October 27, 2007 06:57 PM (GMT)
Yes Omg emily scenes were powerful....when she was talking to the aunt ...wow what amazing work!
I love this show! - October 28, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Okay...some other random questions about this episode. How come the search dogs were thrown off the scent of Katie by the food court but were still able to find her necklace but they couldn't pick up her scent again to find her?
How come Morgan was so bothered by Susan protecting her husband but at the end Jeremy confesses that he was hiding something and that was okay for him to protect his mother?
How come Katie being molested was never mentioned to her parents and they never mentioned her unusual behavior to the police? (did they never notice her disfigured dolls? Would Katie not have started acting weird about being around her uncle?
ILoveReed1988 - October 28, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
those are good questions pam....i wouldnt mind the answers too..you think they would notice their daughter acting different around her uncle!
ac5000 - October 28, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
i'll admit...wasn't the best episode and they had a few holes that Pam mentioned.
i think this was definetly Paget's breakthrough performance...i think if it were JUST her, the episode probably would've gottne by pretty well. MGG was also really good in this episode.
I was a little suprised with hotch. i would've thought that he would say something to Haley, but it was all about Jack.
