Experienced senior male......but NOT like Gideon! I just think Hotch needs someone to help him lead the team. I'm thinking it's going to have to be a man just because if it's a woman the guys will be outnumbered (including J.J. and Garcia who aren't profilers but......) I know there aren't as many women as men in the FBI so it would be unrealistic to have too many women (but I think a woman could handle it.) They just brought us a rookie with Emily and they can't have too many inexperienced profilers. So that was really a process of deduction that led me to my choice.

I'll second that! The other primary characters are relatively young, so that vacant spot begs for someone older and more experienced. But I'm with you, Love (that's the only word in your ID that sounds like a nickname :D ); I don't want a Gideon clone. I just don't think anyone could match MP's portrayal of such a character.

Instead, I'd like the character to be a solid but compassionate, someone who knows his stuff but still has to work his way into the hearts of the team. Someone who can be silent and deadly yet isn't afraid to crack a smile on occasion.

I wonder if William Devane is available? ;)

^^I second that. Not a Gideon/Mandy clone, otherwise I don't think it'll work. Maybe an experienced older male, just so Hotch isn't 'lonely' so to speak.

Yeah....having a person just like Gideon would be odd. It'd be better to have something new. And yes, probably male, so we don't have female domination :lol:
