I don't recall seeing an actual discussion of it, so I assume it happened "off screen," that it was something tossed in there by the writers to give Hotch a reason to recognize Reid's attempt to send them a hidden message.

I agree. I don't recall ever hearing a conversation between Reid and Hotch about that either.

Actually, I think they did it intentionally ( not show the conversation) to make more believable the impression of Reid really giving Raphael one of his coworker´s names.

i have not read anything on this topic, but i'm so excited because tomorrow's part one which means next week is Revelations itself!! Reid!!

I know he got kidnapped and drugged or smth to do with kidnapping and drugs (thanks to some article i read. grrh) but idk what else. I can't waittt!!
