First off, im so uberly glad to see this mod, its awsome! Kudo's to you guys...
Ok, one thing is that you guys absolutly have to include the Selouse Scouts as a unit type. They were one of the most feared fighting units actively involved in the Bush War. Primarly Rhodesian's they were the pinicle in fighting force's (special forces) conducting sometimes questionable operations across boards and counter inteligence and intel gathering operations. Brothers at arms, being people of all races creed and colour all together in the struggle. :ph43r:
Removed... -><-
Also a fine addition would be SA's MBT the Oliefant. :lol:

They aren't doing the Rhodesian War. Yet.

@Shadows,
I think we will include the Rhodesian war at a later stage.
The problem now is our modding team is small and it takes time...

There are a few versions of the Olifant.
I also want the RooiValk Heli!! :D

I'm making the most common vehicles, planes, weapons etc. used as the basis for the mod. This will leave an ample gap for other modders to make add-ons I have not done and add to the mod.

The South African designed and manufactured Rooivalk attack helicopter comes equiped with to air to air missiles, anti-tank missiles and a rapid fire automatic 20mm cannon. It carries a crew of two. The first CSH-2 for the South African Air Force was delivered at the end of 1998, with manufacture planned at four per year until 2001. In a police support role it could be used for inntelligence gathering, surveliance, electronic soundwave jamming an as a airborne crane. The survivability of the Rooivalk is enhnaced by design characteristics that include low detection signatures, high agility, damage tolerance, dual redundant systems and airframe crashworthiness. The helicopter is able to operate in the nape of the earth environment and can operate in night and adverser wealther conditions from long standoff ranges. The helmet, HUD and nose mounted day/night stabilized sighting systems provide for fast, hightly accurate designation and delivery of anti-tank missiles, air-to ground rockets, cannon fire, and the ability to carry air to air missiles for self defence.

ObmaR is busy with the South African side. When it is running, I will prepare all the models concerning the Rhodesian war. I will have to ask him to place those in the game. Actually I would like to include the Portuguese Bush Wars in Africa. ;) This is a process and takes time. I have all the material available, and for the time being, feast your eyes...

Where did you get these books? How about scanning some pages of the SA Special forces as well as Angolan troops and emailing them to me.
hellfish6 - July 11, 2007 01:45 PM (GMT)
I have a couple of those books, but no scanner. I'll see what I can do...

Unfortunately these books are with someone else who is doing research. I will have to wait plus minus 3 weeks. :(
At this point in time I can only send you this. And they refer to the Portuguese Bush War in Angola.

If you have those mentioned by Obmar, see if you can help. Maybe just the colour plates inside the book regarding uniforms.

Always wanted to fly the Rooivalk...
Know it wasn't around in the bush war, but it would be awesome to have around.
After all, the Apache is based on it...
