Yeah. I think she's Simmo's new assistant coach. I guess that means Deb won't be coming back.

Blue Water High follows six lucky sixteen-year-olds who are selected for an intensive, twelve month residential surfing and schooling program at the high performance surf academy Solar Blue.

In the new series, everyone is experiencing the excitement of being at Solar Blue, but like all teenagers, even though surfing is their consuming passion, these kids still have to face the reality checks and challenges confronting them.

The new recruits include bubbly Amy (Gabrielle Scollay), determined Brooke (Lesley Anne Mitchell), adventurous Rachel (Taryn Marler), confident Mike (James Sorenson), farm boy Corey (Trent Dalzell) and comedian Eric (Ryan Corr).

We will be kept guessing until the final episode about just who will be successful in securing those highly coveted spots (one male one female) on the international pro-circuit. Whatever the outcome, the group will all have grown as individuals and learned lessons about themselves that will leave them well prepared for the years ahead. One thing is for certain: nobody will ever forget their time at Blue Water High.

On TV Week's website it said that her parents decided she was too young to compete in the pro curcuit. When I get the magazine I'll scan the article.

The whole thing is a debacle.

Fly is meant to be overseas for a year - you don't spend a year in a competition just to give up and not go on the prize. I couldn't stand the fact that they made her win, but at least that way she would have had no airtime this year. Now she's won it, and will be a regular this year.

They said that each year they had 7 people - last year it was Anna instead of Joe. Now only 6?

And where's Joe? He didn't even get a fair shot last year, now he's not in again?

I agree that Joe should have gotten a shot. And wouldn't Fly's parents have stopped her from even competing for a place at Solar Blue if they thought she was too young for the pro circuit?

yeah i agree that joe deserves another shot. i liked joe...
maybe fly's parents didnt expect her to win the comp, and they let her enter the comp in the first place so she could gain some experience. i dunno, i hope they explain some of it when it airs next week...

ryan described eric as the lovable loser

then they showed a preview
