Sophie Luck has her future all mapped out.She may be a familiar face to teenagers around the world, but Blue Water High's Sophie Luck is also a regular 16-year-old high school student who hangs out with friends... and has her fair share of boy trouble!
Now that filming for the second season of the popular teen surf drama has wrapped, Sophie's focusing on her studies and admits that juggling both was challenging.
"I gave up school and had a tutor for six months," she says. "I got through my school certificate - luckily I didn't have to repeat."
Although readjusting to school life after her taste of freedom, Sophie says her friends are very supportive - in fact, they tell TV WEEK "all the guys like Sophie!"
So does she have a boyfriend?
"I did," she confesses. "We were going out for nine months, while I was doing the show, but broke it off a few weeks ago because we weren't seeing each other."
Even though the break-up was mutual, Sophie is struggling to get used to the idea.
"It's taking me a while to realise we've broken up," she confides quietly. "I'm busy with school... I think it'll hit me later."
Along with studying, Sophie is also busy going to various auditions.
"I auditioned for the show H2O: Just Add Water - a new character's coming in," explains Sophie.
While travelling tops Sophie's to-do list once she finishes school, later on she'd like to audition for prestigious drama school NIDA and launch a film career.
"I'd like to do Australian films and work with people like Toni Collette," Sophie grins.
We don't doubt she will!
Pretty FlySophie talks about her experiences as Fly on two seasons of Blue Water High.
Which actors made you laugh?
Adam (Saunders) or Ryan (Corr) - they were the jokesters!
Which cast member taught you the most?
Marty Lynes, who plays Simmo, because he has experience. He told me what to do in auditions and not to think about it afterwards.
Any downside?
Being in a bikini when it's freezing, and getting up really early!
Most common misconception about being on the show?
It is fun and good experience but everyone thinks you're on the beach with hot guys, getting a tan! It's not like that. It's hard work and long hours.
