Here are the rules for this site. Following them would be a wise choice..
Some of these rules have different concequences than others, so be careful.

General Rules

1) No being rude to others when out of character, such as dissing, and arguing. This includes keeping all comments to yourself which shouldn't be said.

2) No posting graphic images.

3) Keep swearing to a minimum, and only use 'necessary' words. Meaning, don't go over board, and please don't use the 'F' word.

4) When registering, please use your wolf's name. No underscores, or numbers, and Capitalize the first letter.

5) The only way you can advertise on this site, would be in the Affiliates board. You must have our banner up on your site before advertising there, otherwise your post will be deleted.

Character Application Rules

1) You must register as a member, before creating an application to join this site. You go to The New Comer's Tree to pend your application, and to view the form which is required fill out.

2) Your appearance/personality paragraphs must be at least 10/b] sentences, or one strong paragraph. Your history must be at least [b]20 sentences, or two solid paragraphs.

3) You must wait for an admin to reply and say either 'accepted' or say fix something. You only have a week to modify your application otherwise the application will be deleted, and so will your account.

4) If you want to create a character other than a wolf, tiger or lion, you have to ask an Admin for permission (this character would belong to the mixed clan).

5) To be a lion in the royal clan, you have to audition first.

6) You have to be in an alignment unless your are a social grounds animal wich has no alignment but still can have an Element. One element per animal.

Roleplaying Rules

1) You can't power play. That means you cannot see another character in the same area as you, or anywhere else, unless someone has posted there, and says they are still there.

Ie: Savage rushes Navaho and bites his neck making his crimson spill on the floor.

That is power playing, you want something like this.

ie: Savaged rushed Navaho with an open maw, as he gets closer he hopes to snap down on his neck and taste some cromson.

this way lets the other player have a chance to defend himself, or flee.

2) OOC means out of character. You can't talk OOC unless you are posting in an OOC board. None of the clan/pack lands are OOC boards. If you are posting with someone and just want to say something quickly while you are in character, that is fine if you want to use OOC. Once you continue to post again put, BIC or IC which means back in character.

3) Your character doesn't know what another is thinking. Even if the other character says in their post they are thinking about something, unless they say it out loud, then you don't know it. If you have Telepathy you have to ask the other player for permission to use it on their charicters.

4) When talking in a post (In character) change the words which the character speaks, into a colour. When the wolf is thinking, put it in italics. It makes it easier for someone to read, reply, and understand the post. Some people prefer to put what their character is saying in bold and colour, that is allowed. Or just bold if you want.

5) If your character is in a topic and it wants to leave and someone else hasn't replied just edit your first post instead of cluttering up the boards with lots of short posts.

6) Please use correct spelling and grammar. This is a must, so that people are able to understand your posts, and it also helps with your roleplaying skills.

7) Posts must be written in 3rd person. An example is: "Soda walked along the beach, looking for something to eat. She was starving as she hadn't eaten in days."

8) When your character leaves an area, please put something like this at the end of your post, .:Soda has left this area:

9) Your posts must be a minimum of 20 detailed sentences everytime, which equals to 2 paragraphs.

10) When you want to repeat what someone spoke in their post in your own post, please make it no longer than two lines. Any longer and you're making your post more of the other person's rather than your own.

Character Rules

1) Your character must have a picture in its signature. If you don't know how to make a picture off the internet show up then post in the questions board and someone will reply and help you. Feel free to ask someone to make you a picture for your character for you.

2) You must have the following underneath your signature (siggy), unless it's on your character's picture. Name, age, gender, pack (If any), rank (If any), mate (if any), and pups (if any).

Copy these if you would like to use quarter or half signs: ¼ ½ ¾

3) You can have up to three characters/accounts and you must keep active with them all. Staying active with some but not all will cause your inactive characters to be deleted. If you want more than three, you must ask for special permission. Only those who we believe can keep up with more than three will be allowed.

4) Please make your character's name unique, or a name which is less common, unless it says in their history that a human has named them.

5) Only one of your characters may be the lead of a pack. All other characters can have any high or low rank, but not lead.

6) If you would like to be a part of the royal lion family, you must audition for the part. Audition forms can be found under the adoption centre.

Breeding Rules

1) Both characters do not have to be in the same pack/clan, though it is wise to have them both in the same one. If the parents are in different packs/clans the offspring will live in the mother's pack/clan, otherwise she leaves the pack/clan and stays with her mate if allowed.

2) You must fill out the breeding form which is located here. You must then wait for an admin to reply and tell you your results.

3) The most offspring which can be born is 3, though normally it is only 1 or 2. Once you are given the due date, you must find players to roleplay the offspring before they are born, unless you plan on splitting them between the players of the two parents. Admin will choose what your offspring will be and weather or not they have any deformalitys, other than that you can choose thier color and other important things.

4) The pair which wishes to breed should have permission from the lead of the pack/clan to breed. If not, well the Alpha can deal with that.

Fighting Rules

1) One-on-one fights may only occur if both players agree. Battles can happen unexpectedly, though the whole pack/clan cannot go. There must be someone there to guard the lands, otherwise, someone else could claim it.

2) You have to fill out a form in the Fighting Application forum. Then wait for an admin to reply.

3) You have a maximum of 6 posts each, if the fight is accepted. During the total of 12 posts a decision must be resolved (Depending on the type of fight you chose). This only applies to one-on-one fights.

Hunting Rules

1) When you wish to hunt something larger than a rabbit, weasle, mongoose, (Anything tiny), then you must fill out an application in the Prey and Meal forum.

2) Fill out the form then wait to be accepted. A staff member will roleplay the animal until you defeat it. But for a rabbit and small critters you can power play them, meaning the staff will not play them unless they are large prey.

3) Be realistic. There's no way one character could take down a larger prey on its own. It usually takes at the least, three characters.

Powers/Alignments

Ok well I have decided to put a little twist in the whole thing here at Arcano, Im adding Powers and Alignments. Each alignment will live with that one peacefully no matter what animal you are.

ALIGNMENTS ARE
Dark-Enjoy evil, they are rude and aggressive to all non-darks and generally don't get along with lights.

By the way, people, some role-players feel that ‘cause their character is dark that they need to be rude all the time, or point out the fact that it is very strange that they're being nice, ‘cause they’re actually Dark.

Darks can be nice to other Darks.

Light-Enjoy doing good, they are kind and ‘wear their heart on their sleeves’.

They try to but don't get along with darks.

Neutral-Are not sure, sometimes they are evil and cold as a dark, others they are brimming over with happiness like a light.

They mostly get along with light and darks
