Title: So upset....

Alright. Some of you know, I started this wicked awesome radio station that just played Clay Aiken. It had over 200 people listening, I was getting letters every day saying how much people loved it, and it had over 500 listening hours in the first week.
The company I ran it on suspended us because 'we're not allowed to play the same person twice in three hours' or something. I spend like, $30 on this station, and they just closed it down without any warning, and I had to actually seek out the answer, which I got later.
I'm SO mad...and I feel like I've let my listeners down. :tears: I don't know what to do.

Awe that sucks! Maybe you could try podcasting it instead. I don't think there's a Clay Aiken podcast. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but it was the first alternative I could think of. It would definitely be cool if you could find a way to keep it going, regardless of how mean the site was for suspending you.

I'm a bit out of the loop here...what's a podcast?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PodcastingI'm horrible at explaining so I'll let that link help. I'm not really sure how it works but it's really cool for getting people to listen. I subscribe to podcasts through iTunes and it will automatically download new episodes. You would have to check first to make sure that your not going to have any issues with copyrights and whatnot. If it sounds like something you may be interested in let me know and I can try and help you with links to helpful sites and all that.

I don't have an iPod though...hopefully for Christmas...and I think you need an iPod to do that.
jodi - September 13, 2005 09:00 PM (GMT)
You don't need an iPod to publish it or to listen. I've never done a podcast before but I'm assuming since you had your radio station going you would have everything you needed.

I'll check into this while I'm checking into the other radio options (if there ARE any...) Thanks for the idea.

Hopefully it all works out for you! Don't let one stupid site get you down, even if they are idiots.

^yeah, i know. but if we switched to another form of the same thing where all the listeners had to pay, it wouldnt be as sucessful probably....
