From InsideTV Magazine:

Carrie finds fame-and-love-on 'Idol'

Is love in the air for the new American Idol? Not sooner had Carrie Underwood won the crown of the popular reality show than fans started asking about relationship about Anthony Fedorov.

Carrie, who recently called it quits with hometown boyfriend Drake Clark, says she has no one to blame but herself for starting the rumors of romance with Anthony Fedorov the night he was booted off. "I opened my big fat mouth on national television and told him I loved him," Carrie, 22, tells INSIDE TV. "I never thought they'd put my face on the screen [at that moment]. I'ts not love like 'I love you.' He's like my little brother; we're best friends."

But Anthony, who also recently broke up with his hometown sweetheart, was little more cryptic when asked whether he's dating Carrie. "Carrie and I are very good friends, " says the 20-years old from Trevose, PA, who was the first to give Carrie a congratulatory hug when she won.
"That's all I want to say."

The two will be spending plenty of time together this Summer, though, as they launch their two-month American Idol tour, whick kicks off in Sunrise, FLA., July 12. "I can't imagine going on tour without him," says Carrie.
"I'm really excited that I get tour with my best friend."

That's not the only way in which life as the small-town girl from Checotah, OK., knows It is about to change. She's just been awarded a $1 Million record contract ("Do they just direct-deposit that into my account?" she wonders), received a brand-new red Mustang convertible, and flown on private jet, "The longer we were in the competition, the more people gave us," she gushesto INSIDE TV. "I've never had so many pairs of shoes in my life!"

Yet she insists she's going to stay true to her roots, finishing her college degree online ("I think I can probably talk somebody into counting all of this American Idol Stuff as my Internship") while she promotes her first single, "Inside Your Heaven," and records her County Album due out on Arista Records in the Fall. "I want to record in L.A. & Nashville, but I want to keep my permanent address in Oklahoma," she says. "I just can't wait for my dream of being a singer to finally come true."

(Anthony & Carrie both admit that they became very close while on "Idol.")
