It sucks making it all the way to the finals of "American Idol" and then getting voted off, but at least there's a nice consolation prize for the top nine finalists.

"Hey, I made the tour!" Ace Young exclaimed the day after he was eliminated.

The "American Idol" title is coveted, but making the American Idols Live Tour is a nice prize in itself, giving rookie singers a chance to play arenas.

This year's outing kicks off July 6 in Manchester, New Hampshire, and travels down the East Coast, across the South and Midwest and up the West Coast, ending September 2 in Tacoma, Washington. Tickets for all of the shows go on sale over the weekend of May 19, 20 and 21.

The first three years, the tour featured a mix of solo and group numbers, but last year's show featured each finalist singing at least three songs on his or her own (see "American Idols Live Kickoff: One Ticket, 10 Different Concerts").

Meet-and-greets hosted by tour sponsor Pop Tarts will be held in each city. "I just can't wait to see each and every one of my fans and give them a big hug that's well-deserved for all the support they've given me," Ace said.

aww man Ace is just amazing! i wish i knew how to get the meet and greet passes ..... oh well i'll wait by the fence which is by the busses and if i have to i will ask him for a hug through the fence. haha

When I seen two shows in Ohio, I got so excited! :bliss: One happens to be on my birthday, August 11th. I would love to make it to that one.

I am going to the show in DC!!! Any other Ace Fans going to the DC show????

We're going to try to go to the DC one. I want to go to Pittsburgh, DC, and then Richmond. Ace 3 days in a row would be perfect!!!

Jen - Most definitely going to be in DC. I'm planning to be sitting at my computer at 10am on sale date and hoping to get front section on the floor. I'm not keen on the Verizon Center, but hey, wherever they are, I'll be. :bliss:

I've read lots about colors and such. Does anyone know what colors will represent which performers? Being a Chrace fan I'll have to mix two colors... or maybe a shirt for Chris and a beanie for Ace...any ideas? B)

I heard that Ace's color is Red ... hope that helps!

i'm gonna try and go to the Worcestor,Ma show or the Duluth,Ga show i haven't decided which one.
