Ace comes out looking dapper in a suit and his hair slicked back into a short ponytail. My first instinct is to laugh because he looks so geeky with his hair like that. I love his hair and he should definitely never cut it short.
Anyways, Ace has picked an absolute perfect song for his voice and style. He actually captivated my attention throughout the performance more than any other contestant tonight. I especially loved the way he so effortlessly went in and out of his falsetto. I said last week his falsetto has become his signature and love it. I was completely pulled into this performance and I think it is one of his best yet.
Randy tells Ace he had a few problems in the bridge of the song but that his "false is money". Paula says this is a whole new Ace, that she loved it, and he did great. Simon says it was a little nasally but that it wasn't bad and that it was a charming performance.
I think tonight's bottom three SHOULD be Kellie, Paris and Ace with Kellie going home. I think the bottom three WILL be Ace, Elliott and Paris with Ace going home. As I just said, Ace did really well tonight. I don't think it matters though. He's been flirting with elimination for weeks now and I think tonight his number will be up. I personally hope I'm wrong as there are a few others (Paris, Kellie and Taylor) I would like to see go before him. I don't see that happening though but hey, a girl can dream.
