LINKFoxes on Idol thinks that Ace is going home this week.
LET'S PROVE THEM WRONG!Sting7: Ace needs a major wow performance, stat! I think Ace has a ton of talent. As I said in an earlier article, Ace has to work twice as hard as the others because he’s pretty. It’s so easy to dismiss the pretty boy and assume he got this far on his looks (that doggone camera-reach and smolder he does at the end of each song doesn’t help dispel this notion at all). But I believe Ace has earned the right to be in this top 12 because of his talent. He really needs to show it. Next week is Country Week, there are plenty of drippy, syrupy country tunes he can ooze through. I hope he can pick one that hits his heart strings, because it will hit ours.
David says: Sting has a lot more faith in Ace’s talent than I do. Maybe he did have the talent to get to the final 12, but now that he’s there he needs to show it or he’ll follow Lisa right down the tubes. So far, he hasn’t done it.
Sting7: Ace tried showing his rock edge with Train (edge? Train?) and we saw how that went. I expect a similar failure with country. He’ll probably try to R&B up “Friends In Low Places” and be stoned for his effort.
David says: I agree with Sting here – Ace is in trouble. Big trouble. Trouble with a capital T that rhymes with C that stands for Country.
Sting7: And, in the end, poor beautiful Ace will be left to smolder in his bathroom mirror, once again.
David says: We’ll end on an agreement. While I picked differently for two of the bottom three, I’m solidly with Sting on the likely loser, Ace.
