Oh Ace, I definitely do…
Ace Young is kicking off Stevie Wonder night with a performance of “Do, I Do,” but first we see that all the kids were lucky enough to actually work with Stevie over the last week. In his intro, Ace reminds us that he is the competition’s sensitive singer by shedding a few tears, and telling us that he is “overjoyed, overwhelmed and totally satisfied” with his life.

Ace may have been crying in his video, but he’s all smiles as he takes the stage to sing, and, does he stay there? Absolutely not! Ace is all over the place… out in the audience, up on the catwalk… he just can’t stand still! Ace is certainly making the rounds, but maybe he should be concentrating just a little more, (or at all), on his singing.

Randy admits that Stevie Wonder is difficult to sing, but Ace started off-key and the performance was energetic, but just all right. Paula thinks Ace started off the night in a fantastic way and has a beautiful spirit and some kick-ass dance moves. Simon starts off on the wrong side of the audience by telling them that they’re easily impressed, and that Ace’s performance was manic and not very good.
