Title: Movies
TheGambler - March 11, 2006 01:43 AM (GMT)
Has anyone seen a good movie lately? After watching the Oscars, I realized that I haven't seen any of those movies I don't think.
Any good ones I should check out?

I thought Crash was fantastic! Haven't seen any of the other nominees, but I can't imagine they were any better. Crash is the kind of movie that makes you gasp from surprise and shock. It was great!

I loved "Walk the Line" ! I saw it in the Theater two times and bought the movie when it came out. Jauqine Phenix was soooo good as Johnny Cash. He made me want to run out and buy a Johnny Cash cd. Other than that it is all Disney. I have a young son with downsyndrome and he loves Disney.

I saw all the best picture nominees except for Capote. In my opinion, Crash was the worst out of all of them. It's not that it was a bad movie, but it definitely wasn't better than the other 3 I saw (Brokeback Mountain, Good Night & Good Luck, and Munich). I was kinda peeved it won best picture, but not much we can do about it now. Out of the 4 I saw, it is the only one I WON'T be buying on DVD.
I am watching the latest Harry Potter movie non stop though. It's awesome. I cannot wait for the next one.
Gambler, depending on what kind of movie you like, there are alot of good movies out, or coming out on DVD right now. If you like history, I'd definitely go with GN&GL or Munich. Munich is more action, GN&GL is definitely a "thinker's" movie. It's kind of slow, and not exhilirating, but definitely worthwhile if it's your kind of thing.
And I loved, loved, loved Brokeback Mountain. Loved. I saw it over a month ago and I still cry when I think about the damn thing.

I just rented Just Like Heaven. It is a good family movie. My husband and 3 boys all liked it. It is sweet and romantic.

Sunday I went to see Failure to Launch. I know the critics didn't like it but I thought is was so funny and loved it. Matthew M.(don't know how to spell his last name) was awesome. What a shirtless cutie. I even liked Sara Jessica Parker. I am usually not a big fan of her.
The movie trailer "Break Up" looks good too. I am not sure if it is out yet but I will probably go to it when it comes to town. It is with Vince Vaughen and Jennifer Aniston.
Any other good movies out there?

I took my little boy to see THE WILD last night. It was very good. I was afaid it would be like Madagascar but it was soooooo much better. Keefer Sutherland is the lead and Jim Baluchi (spelling?)and Wm Shatner are voices too. It is a cute one for sure. My little one can't understand why we can't run out and get a CD of it yet. He wanted one right away.

Oh, I wanted to see that. I love those kinds of movies, i.e Bring in On, Another Teen Movie and so on. Those are the kinds of movies where I don't have to think much................

I have actually seen alot of movies lately because our local drive in movie theatre opened up.Below are the movies I have seen and my opinion.
Ice Age 2-Very funny movie.Great for all ages.
Larry The Cable Guy Health Inspector-If you like Larry the cable guy this movie is for you but if you are like me and don't care for him that much then do not see it.It is a very suggestive movie. Not for young children at all.
RV-Very cute and funny movie.Definitely a family movie. You can't go wrong with Robin Williams.
Bench Warmers-Absolutely hillarious :10: It is one of those movies that are so silly it's funny. If you like off the wall humor then this is your movie.

I didn't go to Bench Warmers because I am not a big David Spade fan but I have recently started watching him on Comedy Central. He is growing on me. After your review I just might go to see it. :sharepopcorn:
I saw the previews to Break UP with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughen and it looked good but I haven't heard when it is coming to Theaters. Does any one know?

I heard that the Break Up was due out in June. I think I heard that they reshot some scenes.
