The last slot in tonight’s show went to Ace Young, who sang Butterflies by Michael Jackson, which was a mild hit off of his Invincible album. I've pretty much hated everything this guy has done so far in the competition, but this was a good week for him. Choosing a somewhat obscure song really worked to his advantage, and I think it would be a smart idea for the other contestants to take note of this. Vocally, he has a long way to go, but this was vast improvement over his performance last week. He also seemed more comfortable with this song than the last, and that can always impact a performance. The falsetto threw things off a bit though. His upper range is about as pleasing to the ear as listening to cats in heat.
