I've been reading some articles about all the nearly-professionals they have this year. Several apparently have been signed and even put out CDs. But - that isn't against the rules, and if they are good and entertaining, I guess I don't care. Seversl in past seasons have been 'previously signed or recorded' and I still liked them. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I heard that as well. It kind of makes it harder for the ones who are talented but unknown to do well with Idol. If wors gets out it might discourage some great talent from trying out. Just my opinion...
