Young was one of the show's top 12 in 2006 while Hung gained fame from his famously awful audition in 2004. Young will perform on June 29, Hung on July 19 in games Webb expects to sell nearly all of Yale Field's 5,000 seats.


(I have to admit that when I first read that I was afraid that Ace was billed alongside William Hung and I was VERY dismayed. Thankfully, they are 2 different days. Now - let's hope Ace outsells W. Hung! --- AceOfDiamonds)

I rather enjoy the report that "We all think it's better when Ryan ISNT there" :( I had a feeling he wouldn't show...I think he's in NYC with the record company, but I KNEW he wouldn't show.

It only took Ace 8 times for him to remember how to spell T I N A....... :bliss:

He sounded amazing. When the sang the National Anthem I about fainted. Who knew you could get all flustered at the the same song heard for years.....Ace sings it and I turn to goo.

I was lucky and got him to sign three things for me. Well two were for me and one was for somebody else. He actually had to correct the way he spelled her name......LOL She made him all nervous when she was by him.

The girls I met there were awesome and I can't wait to see them again.

WEST HAVEN — Ace Young sang the national anthem, and a young ace went out and dominated the New Haven County Cutters.

It was Ace Young Night at Yale Field. Young, the former American Idol contestant, sang the national anthem and performed two songs after the game. In between, he signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.
