Ace Young is gearing up to release his debut album. The #7 finisher on season five of "American Idol" has signed a deal with S Curve Records (Fountains of Wayne, Joss Stone) for the yet-untitled disc, scheduled to drop in September and be preceded by a single in July. Young will be backed by a full band on the album, which is being executive produced by hitmaker Desmond Child (Kelly Clarkson), with songs written by Diane Warren ('NSYNC, Pussycat Dolls) and Andreas Carlson (Nick Lachey, Britney Spears). Young, who helped write pal Chris Daughtry's first hit, "It's Not Over," said he's writing or co-writing all the tunes on his album as well as working on songs with "everyone," though he declined to name names. "You'll hear it when it happens," he promised. ...

Funny how his parents didnt even know he signed a deal..and Wednesday night he told Nic that it wasnt a done deal yet. But unfortunately, S Curve isnt anything to be proud of :( Steve Greenberg is a jerk. And in 8 years he has one major client!

I am not sure what is going on but I thought I would post it. How do you know his parents didn't know he signed? Where they in LA? Just curious.

Shannon is on the HRwH board...She emailed Jay. He didn't know..but Brooke did. And yet, wednesday night he told Nicole they still had paperwork and redtape..which is what he said in Cinci too. But..like I said...record company thats been around for 10 years and only has one major artist...not really too promising.

I would love to see ACE go far in his singing career, because he has so much talent! I think he will have alot of people interested in him once he gets out there! He deserves a major record deal!!!! I hope everything will work out for the best! The fans want him around for a very long time!!!!!!!

Major record labels aren't any better. There are several great artists on major labels that are being screwed. So let's think positive about Ace.
