This season ‘s “American Idol” was frustrating for me, a fan who has followed the show since the Kelly Clarkson days. Of course, Carrie Underwood would be hard to repeat, but no one stood out this year. For awhile, I favored two finalists, Lisa Tucker and Ace Young, as singers who I felt had what it takes to sell records. I began to dislike Hicks and Pickler because they, ironically to their credit, figured out it takes more than a great voice to win “Idol.”
