Title: Rant for Ryan

WickedlyDeeper - October 9, 2006 02:16 PM (GMT)
I just need a place to vent and rant..and everyone here knows how I feel and how I have always felt about Ryan.

For six months, SIX MONTHS, I have pushed and pulled and fought for a lot of the fans to show some respect and appreciation and love for Ryan above the bloodline he shares with Ace. There's not one of us who can deny that there is some above-fraternal connection between Ryan and Ace. Where one goes the other follows, knowingly and with acceptance and unflailing unconditional love. From the beginning, well before any of us even knew who Ace Young was, they were an unseparable pair. I don't think any of us will ever understand how two grown men-brothers or not- can be as close as these two are and always will be. I somehow even doubt their future wives will understand. But it's there, and it isn't going away ever.

Now, whatever. I'll bare the ostracism for being a bit of an outcast in the Ace Young fanbase because for some insane reason I have been drawn to Ryan more than Ace. Do not get me wrong, I adore Ace. He's incredibly sexy, is a fantastic one-of-a-kind human being, and has more talent than realized when he was on American Idol. I'm excited to be on this rollercoaster ride, and I'm thrilled to see where Ace's career is going in the future. I have met some amazing people, and I have gained some awesome memories (good and bad) and have made some lasting friendships because of Ace. But it hasn't come without a sort of cost.

I have been told "Don't talk about Ryan. Keep it to yourself. He's not as important in all of this as you think. We know you like him, but this is all about Ace. It always has been, and always will be." Then we have the classic "He's so ugly. Can't you write about Ace. I'll read your stories, but only for the off-shoot that Ace will be in one of them." Any imaginable insult or patronizing comment has been made towards me. It rolls off of you after awhile, but if I could control all of this I would. Don't you think everything would just be easier if I viewed him simply as Ace's brother and manager??

Of course it would be. Everyone's life is easier when they follow the road that's been paved and travelled by every other single person before. But I have never been one to follow the road others are on. The others are fighting for Ace's attention, using everything they can to get on his good side or become part of his inner circle. They want a thousand hugs and even more hug pictures. Everyone wants a piece of Ace. While I'm hanging around, staring straight above him trying to figure out the secrets Ryan keeps locked inside of himself. Trying to catch a break and get noticed, bypassing my hug or hug picture (I've already got three).

And now..all of a sudden? Every f**king one of you wants to jump on the god damn Ryan train. You all suddenly feign to see what I've been quietly observing from the very start. You all realize as if by some sort of dawning epiphany how amazing and important and respected he is to and by Ace. Now you all see the hero-worship in Ace's eyes. That he turns to Ryan for everything- advice, guidance, support...You are all realizing just how incredibly beautiful his heart and soul are, and how beautiful he is on the outside too. All of these were things *I* could feel and sense plainly what seems like centuries ago.

Now you all claim him to be your "new favorite". He's "right up directly on par with Ace" in your books. A few of you have been there from the beginning, nearly embarrassed to have a little thing for him. Afterall, this is about Ace right? Ace, the person who seemingly cannot live or function without this 6'7" attachment. They're a powerful duo, and BIG things are coming from both of them. Together and apart, Ace and Ryan are going to rock the entertainment industry- and from what I understand it's been a long time coming for BOTH of them.

I wasn't aware of an auction that sold the rights to Ryan's life, and that ANY of us had paid for them. The last time I checked he was a THIRTY YEAR OLD GROWN MAN WHO COULD COME AND GO AS HE PLEASES. NONE of us are dating him, or are attached in any way. Perhaps we've made an impression on him- some good others bad. And as much as we would like for him to just sweep us off our feet after 15 minutes? It ain't gonna happen. (Though sometimes I think it's easier to get to Ryan than Ace, but that's just me.) Ryan is not anyone's personal property, save for Ace.

Every single one of you who all of a sudden wants to be part of the Ryan Young fanclub...The "R Train" as a few of us have been jokingly calling it. It's already too full. So I'm tossing the lot of you out and keeping it to a minimum. It has a knack for going too fast, for disappearing on occasion, always finding a way to hide in the shadows, and constantly has to push along and support and follow the smaller, more crowded HighRoller Train. Why not just stay on that? There always seems to be room anyways.

</end rant>

IF YOU ARE GOING TO EDIT A POST THAT I MAKE- THAT *NO ONE* HAS READ..PLEASE TELL ME.

AceOfDiamonds - October 10, 2006 03:28 PM (GMT)
This post had been in place all day and had already had several views. I in fact owe an apology to our members for letting it stay that long without adressing it, but I get busy just like anyone else.

This is one of the very few boards where a person is allowed an opinion that differs from that of the staff. We have allowed you to have your opinion which is why the post is still here.

We also have very few guidelines for behavior, but among them are "No personal attacks" and "Don't bash", which is only common sense in terms of facilitating our group to get along. For that reason, we removed or edited the content that fell into that category. As we have stated in the past, if you have a problem with another member, take it to PMs or private emails and leave the rest of the board out of the melee.

You were sent a PM last night stating what was done and why. The post was only removed for a short time to facilitate examination and editing.

Decisions we make for this board are for the good of our members with an eye for fairness and harmony. Posters are allowed to speak their mind without Administration nitpicking their words, but other members' feelings will always be considered and the guidelines will be applied.

I received no such PM from ANYONE..and this rant was NOT a personal attack on anyone in particular, merely the whole fanbase of HighRollers. A whole group that does not frequent or even visit this board. In fact, the only people who DID read it were you, Hearts, Ti and Christie because I asked her to read it. Other than that, it went unnoticed and unread- what else is new when it comes to important things I post or offer an opinion on anywhere (ANY BOARDS).

We can't continue to tip-toe around this family, or around this fanbase. We are dealing with a grown man, not a little boy or a teenager. A thousand things worse have been said about Ace and to him.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't even know we exist here. Which sucks to the tenth degree. So if everyone's worried about the family stumbling upon us, I don't think we have to worry about that. Yes, I know they know we're here, but they are too busy policing Youngville and AYN to frequent all the boards.
