Since gaining national recognition as the Boulder kid with the good looks and the great falsetto on American Idol, he has refused to let fame blind him from a mission he and his family started years ago at Denver Children's Hospital to help our kids in need.

Through his recent fame, Ace was able to form Highrollers with Heart whose current mission is to raise enough money to build a special "Family Amenities Area" at the new state-of-the-art Children's Hospital that is slated to open Fall of 2007. " The total cost of the FAA is $1.5 million. Once completed, it will ease the lives of families whose children are staying in the hospital by giving them a comfortable place to sleep, providing a lounge, internet access and laundry facilities so they don't have to go far from their sick or injured children," states Ace on the Highrollers for Heart web site.

Speaking from personal experience, you have no idea how great Children's Hospital really is until you are associated with a child who has to be there. As a result, helping to support this campaign is a solid yes for my family! I would feel honored if writing this could help the cause.
