Young's bigger-than-life smile and boyish enthusiasm garnered big applause from the audience for his two-song set of George Michael's "Father Figure" and Maroon 5's "Harder to Breathe." His performance was more eye-candy than vocal power, but he was clearly having fun. And, so was the audience.

We were one of the lucky ones who got to meet a few of the IDOLS by the tour buses. Elliot and Ace worked the crowd for a very long time, chatting with fans and signing autographs and taking photos. The way Ace and Elliot were so accessible to the fans is the way a "American Idol" should be. We were told we had just missed Taylor and that he was just as gracious. Chris also came out for a short stint and so did Bucky. But Katharine walked by without a word to the fans and ignored them all. Kellie managed a weak "hi" and stated she would be back but did not return. In a contest where the fans votes are what makes you or breaks you its unfortunate that some of the IDOLS were not willing to give fans a few minutes of their time. Most of them standing on free st. consisted of "tweens" and some adults of all ages mixed in.So, much thanks to Ace and Elliot for behaving like true American Idols!

That's our guy! Always kind, gracious, and patient with his fans!

You know, I pretty much guessed that is how it would be with the other AI's. It shows you who truly cares about their fans.... :ace6:

ACE YOUNG seems like a great man! He seems to always want to be close to the people who have made him! I think he has class! The fans simply want to be close to him!!!! :yahoo:
