Next up is Brett “Ace” Young, a nice looking young man with a great smile. He sings Westlife’s “All Over Again,” and does a decent job. Ace has a good vibe, and Randy thinks he’s one of the best in Denver, saying that he has amazing control. Randy points out that it’s hard to have a connection between chest and falsetto. But mean old Simon disagrees with Randy. He likes Ace, and even calls him likable, but thinks it’s more about personality than voice. Not surprisingly, Paula gushes about his personality and chops. Simon gives him a tentative yes, though, and with Randy’s approval, Ace is off to Hollywood.
